I mean, I’ve done probably about 50-100 dungeons this expansion and thousands of random pugs over the years and I’ve gotten kicked maybe one or two times since wrath introduced lfd, so it’s one of three things:
- People exaggerate
- They’re really unlucky
- They’re extreme bad players or extremely toxic

Blizzard’s stance:
The system is entirely under the control of our players. Players may choose to remove any other player from the group for any reason, provided the vote to kick passes.
Not for vote-kicking in a LFD or LFR.

If it is happening to you 5+ times or more, it is time to reflect on what you are doing to create these vote kicks.
Much like in Cata – 95% of the vote kicks are for either AFK or disruption/burden to the rest of the group.

no they won’t because kicking other players from a dungeon is not bannable regardless of what the reason was. Blizz has repeatedly stated that any reason to initiate a vote kick is a good reason. If i decide to kick you because i don’t like your transmog, according to blizz that’s a fair and legitimate reason to get removed from the dungeon.
and having to sit in a dungeon with a player with a keeps doing all this
would be “degrading the gaming experience” for all the other players in the dungeon. nobody wants to babysit you while they’re just trying to get through the dungeon. are we banning for that now too? clearly the other 3 players in the dungeon agreed with kicking OP.
People don’t kick for no reason. there’s something else at play here OP isn’t telling us about. or it didn’t happen and OP wants attention. one or the other.

Someone or you needs to define this to me. I have never come across this kind of player.
What is bad player ? And who are you to judge someone who is queuing normal or heroic mode? He could be more than happy playing in only those modes, maybe he has a disability.
What is extremely toxic now ?

In this expansion I’ve used vote kick twice, one was someone afk at the entrance of the dungeon and the other one was a weird bot that got stuck.
Yeah. The last time I was removed from a group while I was still online was back in Cata, actually. I don’t remember the details, but I do remember that I was having a bad day and being a jerk, so I deserved it.

Some like the wild west internet days. I won’t soap box about it but to each their own.
I’m mostly seeing people leave after downing the boss that drops their BiS than random vote kicks.
I’ve been removed twice (in Cata Classic). Both times I was being a toxic 
and I knew what the possible results would be – eviction – and I was. It came as no surprise, I didn’t whine on the forums, etc. I just went and started working on other things.

I mean, being bad is just not even keeping up with the group, not healing the tank, trying to pull too much (or too little) as the tank

No man. Normal dunegeons are to learn and understand the mechanics.
Heroics are to challenge you little bit. Most players who play these two modes we all know they are extremely casual.
I have never come across a jerk. However you want to define it. Let’s be realistic most wow players like to do their own thing. If it is out of their safe space they label someone as a Jerk.
A tank going too fast can be labeled as a jerk but is he though ?
A DPS tagging mobs for tank can be said why is this jerk pulling. But is he though he is only helping the tank with the pulls.
Vote kicking is a flawed system. Completely remove it.
We all signed the social contract. Let’s that do the work. Start reporting players.

Hers an example, during a tw dungeon one dps was belittling another over his bad dps, tried to kick him, we denied the kick on the one he was making fun of and kicked the jerk
Another was after the changed scaling we had a tank that kept saying they changed nothing and pulling whole rooms and dying, we kicked him
The kick is there to give people agency
