A better solution is to reduce the penalty for getting vote kicked.

Ok, and lets watch people start abusing the queuing system again. I mean, seriously, 30 minutes isn’t all that long. And being kicked out of a dungeon isn’t the end of the world.
People who abuse the queing system will get vote kicked. What’s the issue again?

People will look at ways to abuse the queue system to get a lesser “deserter” buff or to have no buff.
Tell me you haven’t really played during WotLK when dungeon finder was added.
So then take it to the forum section they told you to if you’re trying to get them to listen. It’s right there in the section you quoted.

I have. People who abused got vote kicked. It was a very easy solution. There was no reason to add a penalty to getting vote kicked.

Once saw a Dwarf Shaman with the ugliest transmog I’d ever seen.
Proceeded to initiate a kick and got it passed.
Why would I be upset about being wrong? I dont hold any value in this games changes. If they happen, or dont its whatever to me.
Love my ah mount. I dont pay the kick feature any attention so any change to it is whatever. Heh
Its getting invited I have issues with. Trying to get into 10s or keys been hard.
Guess will work on turing my 8s to 9s

That was how the queuing system was abused!
People were looking for ways to avoid the deserter so they can queue easily again. You reduce it for being vote-kick and people will do the same thing over again.
Is that really what your suggesting? For people to have a way to abuse the queuing system.

Yet people complained about skyriding even more.
Yet people complained about the shop mount even more. And they’ll complain some more in january when it goes away.
And I can only assume they’ll complain even more when it comes out. I have no hope on player housing in wow.
Big chance whatever they do about vote kick will be met with even more complaining.

No, I am presenting what is essentially a ‘punish the one, not the majority’ argument.
Adding a penalty to getting vote kicked punishes more than just the few tanks that sit at the start and pout.
There’s already a 15-minute CD that doesn’t reset unless you complete a dungeon. The system, which is already in the game, directly addresses this “abuse” scenario everyone speaks about.
Yet no one can bother to explain why a blind 30-min debuff needs to be thrown on top of a system that already prevents re-queueing for not completing a dungeon.
