Vote kick being used by addons - Noob Blocker 2.0

You can’t just assume that someone with a high ilev is automatically guilty of the cheating and poor sportsmanship clearly indicated by use of this addon.

I wasn’t saying that and I’m not against breaking the addon. Since you brought this story to the GD, I was asking questions and making observations.

Here’s another observation:

If they did that, you wouldn’t have answered because you weren’t reading chat. You said that yourself. That’s why I think they would have kicked you even without the addon.

Dude I wasn’t using my rogue.

That’s existed for ages. This isn’t new. Run with your guild or friends. Problem solved.

There’s nothing Blizz cans do about what you just stated.

Since when is Island Expeditions about being geared though?

I like this addon, if I saw someone using it, I’d wait for their countdown to reach 3, then votekick them out.

I’ve ceased responding to characters ineligible for IEs on this topic.

He joined IE to get a quick weekly alt carry.

He got punched by an addon he didnt expect.

Yup, that’s the obvious point in all of this and even looking at other content in the game. It’s clear that a lot of random people just don’t care to communicate 'cause they’ll get another person in half the time and that’s a testament to the personalities of said individuals.

I bet half the issues at least that arise in this content would be solved with some communication.

There really is no need or helpfulness to act like jerks to one another.

WoW players just dropped to a whole new level of a-hole. Making addons to automatically kick people from random groups. Makes me glad I don’t even waste time trying to do group content in this game anymore.

Sad but true, it’s unfortunate that with what is a MMOrpg, someone like me will only truly enjoy it with a like-minded Guild. (I don’t have friends lol).

So you were barely contributing, you weren’t communicating, you didn’t read chat, and you wanted to do your own thing.

Who is the one at fault in this scenario again? All this sounds like is someone too lazy to manually vote kick so they used an addon. Either way, it sounds like you were going to get kicked, addon or not.

You aren’t even paying attention to what is happening here. You don’t understand what that addon was measuring, you don’t understand that OP was on an alt. You are pointless to have a discussion with because all you do is make assumptions.

I due enjoy the lovely hostility the WoW community enjoys giving people.

What I find amazing that a ilvl 439 is doing that’s meant for like ilvl 325. I’m quite sure they could’ve four guildies to queue with them to get into the random instance, and then drop to let them solo it. The run might’ve even been a little more fun for the ilvl 439, but what do I know.

Didn’t you also not know I was on an alt? Now you are jumping fence and trying to side with me? Wonderful.

I see so you didn’t understand my point. My point was you are being a hypocrite about this because you invariably use ilvl to exclude or support people who use ilvl to exclude others.

I’m fairly certain any level of a posting character can speak on such trivial content as pug heroic IE’s… lol

It’s always fun to use ones own argument against them. +1 for sure.

To be fair, prior to LFG, you had to know people or run with a guild, as well. Otherwise, you’d be begging in trade chat for hours before someone invited you to a group. And that group could easily fall apart if someone pulled attitude or if the group decided they didn’t like a person. They’d all drop group and reform without that one person. So “vote kick” has always existed, basically.

It does suck, but it’s why I liked Cata’s guild perks and all of the things that could be earned. It really helped people to be part of guilds and be social and productive within the guild. Guild levels weren’t a great idea, but I feel like if they brought back fun things for guild perks, socializing and working together outside of raids would be more prominent than what we see today.

Communities were a failure, imo. Guilds are where we need to find our common fun!
