…what? It’s like a 7.5 second CD already (with talents). It’s AoE, does good damage, has a short CD, gets your DoT out there, and interacts with lava burst. It’s a good button, but also isn’t broken. Nobody’s out there one-shotting people with Voltaic Blaze, brother.
So what’s the complaint, exactly?

Brother, you didn’t mention the use of talent points being central to your gripe in your initial post, which since we’re talking about it, basically made no reasonable sense as is. Try gathering your thoughts first, then post a whole, complete concept.
That said, it’s actually 4 talent points spread over 3 talents to make Voltaic Blaze good (Flames of the Cauldron, Flames of the Firelord, 2 points in Crackling Fury); or 5 points over 4 talents (add 1 in Purging Flames) if you want the lava burst AoE effect. Plus the point into Voltaic Blaze itself, of course. So, I guess ultimately 5 to 6 points. It absolutely is a bit excessive. Perhaps this should have been mentioned in your first post?

I LOVE Voltaic blaze. I HATE that it takes 4 talent points to make it 9 second CD and spead lava bursts. This ability feels awesome for spread cleave, but lightning builds don’t even take it because of how much of a talent point investment it is.
If they made this ability good by choosing to spread lightning bolts OR lava bursts and lowering the CD naturally or through less talent points, then we could talk about actually playing it.

Absolutely agreed. It’s an excellent concept for a button. I like it very much, and when I can, I do take it, but as you said - 4 points to make it a 9 sec CD that spreads bursts, PLUS the one point for the ability itself (making it 5 total, you could make it 6 points to go 7.5 sec CD) is beyond excessive. I don’t know of a single other ability across any class that has that sort of point investment.
Honestly, the 2 points in Crackling Fury could just be 1, fuse Flames of the Cauldron and Flames of the Firelord to be 1 talent instead of 2, and you’re on the right track.

they took primordial wave and flame shock, smashed them together to make voltic blaze, and then put it in talent tree to get cooldown reduction. that my friend is stupid af.
