He would have been such an amazing Warchief. He did not deserve what happened to him. I’m super excited to see what’s in store for him and I wish him the best!

They couldn’t have forced the garbage heap of an expansion called BFA if they didn’t have edgy undead lady as Warchief.
Vol’jin died so the worst expansion could live. Sad.

For as many flaws as BfA had, WoD was like a Rogue’s kidney shot. The damage as far as subs was palpable.
Perhaps there just isn’t as much damage left to do after WoD.

I meant lore-wise.
At least WoD was just a big side-story used as a plot device to bring the Legion back and largely irrelevant aside from that. BfA just wrecked the story completely.

WoW has mishandled many characters over the years, but of all of them few can claim a worse hand than Vol’jin. They legit built him up, gave him an enjoyable personality and story for the express purposes of immediately offing him for shock value. But not to a named character to give us a target. Instead by a mook: A generic Felguard who was breaching Legion weapon maintenance protocols with a poisoned weapon (Seriously, no other Felguard is toting those!).
I’m happy he’s calling out all the Tribes and shows concern for the Loa he’s served in his life (And Ashamane!), but I can’t help but be jaded. Blizz has given me little to be excited for, worse knowing that once his questline in Shadowlands is over we won’t be seeing him for Loa knows how long while he reincarnates. The Warchief joke is tone deaf to the frustration of the Horde and Troll fans. Haha Warchief roulette. Haha do nothing Warchief. We get it.

Glad to see Vol’jin shifted from “The Horde” to “For All Tribes!” and with this I can see a new direction with the Trolls banding together slowly but instead of a new raid theme, it will be for players able to play with and help them in this new era.

Vol’jin was one of my favorite characters and the way he was handled makes me sick.
