Quested through there for the first time on this Goblin.
What a zone to play a video game in.

It’s a good one! I love the music and Sethrak.
I also like the oasis inn questline. It was great! BFA had some awesome questing.
That’s the zone where the Horde gets their little dogs. Vulperians or whatever they’re called. The little dogs.
Vol’Dun was my favorite zone in all of BfA, easily.
Even playing the small bits you get there on the Alliance side are good.
No it’s not. It’s terrible. It’s where my Alts went to die in BFA.
I loved the “non-quest” in the zone too, where you find the old troll by the dried up oasis and he gives you his canteen and asks you to bring him water and tells you his story.
Cool conclusion to it and adds so much character and spice to the game.
Vol’dun was also one of my favorite zones to quest in Battle for Azeroth. I’ve always been a fan of zones based in desert climates such as Tanaris and Uldum.
Those (3) zones are also perfect places to ride your camel mounts while questing if you don’t got flying on your character yet!
I liked hunting Alpacas and Vulperas in Voldun
Sandy* not underrated.
Joking aside I liked that zone.
i find the older zones/zones in general are much better when i take the time to appreciate it instead of say during launch and just rushing to max level and start gearing up for mythics.
Indeed. Desolate places are always beautiful.
Felt like cut content tbh. It started good and then just stopped
Desert zones are BIS.
More would have been nice, I agree. I played it on my Horde character first (this one) and then was happy to revisit it, if only briefly, on my Alliance character.
Vol’dun needed more Harrison Jones.
Takes me back to my days in Tanaris and the Shimmering Flats, and perhaps every single zone in the Burning Crusade expansion. Vol’dun was a total gem in an otherwise more-of-the-same expansion.
The music is incredible, the atmosphere great, Dolly & Dot Jukebox, and a few more sandstorms would have been the only thing I’d improved on it.
It was my favorite zone in all of BFA. They should have done a lot more with it.
