Voidwalker?

God, no. Dot that sucker up, kill three more while it dies. Wands are for the last 5%.

When I was leveling I found better use out of the Voidwalker even though the succubus was faster. Need to protect yourself from these bullies.

With cloth armor? Just let all 4 mobs hit me?

You’re level 60. Can you even remember what level 15 or 20 was like? I suspect that strategy doesn’t work as well at low levels.

I saw a chart comparing wand damage and spell damage for warlocks 1 to 60. At high levels, spells were more powerful. At low levels, wands were more powerful.

you can easily juggle 3-4 mobs at-level using fear and pet aggro while facetanking one mob. It’s a staple of how warlocks level quickly in the open world

It works just fine.

I can hold aggro on 3 mobs at a time. Leveled with VW all the way to 60 with Sufferibg Rank 2, and Torment Rank 5 to hold aggro.

Cast a spell every after Torment finishes its 5 second cool down. you should never loose aggro with void walker if you do it right.

Warlock is tons of fun, I still use VW at 34 with mine and working towards improved threat ATM because I don’t really like the Succy play even though it’s a favorite. I may try again later in the 40s or something though.

What I have found most successful is to be in a rhythm of throwing him at a mob and throwing up something like SL and maybe corruption and then pulling your own mob or two while maintaining DoTs for him so you don’t pull threat. Between bandages, food, and consume shadows (cannabalize helps too) you can maintain good pull time and stay healthy.

Warlock is like any class. The higher level you get the more complete they get and the better they get, but I would say around the 20s or so I was doing fine taking on 2-3 mobs and I’ve been VW strategy. I’ve chain pulled as many as like 5 or 6 due to mobs running away in fear and been able to power through it. Also helps that I’m UD with alchemy so I’ve had a decent ability to keep my health going. Knowing when to keep a mob feared or VW sac to power through is also important.

I’m a scrub. I start getting anxious if I’m juggling more than four.

dunno, lock feels pretty great. The amount of utility is insane. And unlike some classes utility - all usable for solo questing aswell.

Didn’t even know lock had water breathing and stealth detection. SS as second chance is amazing for both questing and group content. Healthstone helps with keeping mana up, there’s fear, pet abilities.

I like Lock pets more tbh. You’re pretty much enslaving sentient being with thoughts and dreams over some dumb animal. They even have they own name. And you don’t need to feed them.

Soulshards is pretty much only annoying thing. They eat bag space and i had to use addon to delete extra shards.

The voidwalker is garbage for holding threat past the lower levels. His talent can delay the inevitable, but sooner or later, he won’t be able to hold threat over any kind of damage. He becomes a throw away for the aoe taunt and shield, not a standard pet you should always have out.

A better solution? Tank the mobs yourself. You can have siphon life by 30, which has health regen on it. So just summon the imp or succubus. Shadowburn isn’t bad either because you can zap every mob once they get to low HP. Potion buffs make your life even easier. There’s 3 ranks of HP regen and numerous ones for armor.
