So I’ve ran into this twice today, summon void walker and hes lost all his learned skills except Torment Rank 1. This is getting frustrating because i have to keep reteaching him his skills and its 2 gold every time. Is anyone else having this issue?
Ok so after some testing, its affecting my succubus too. It seems to be happening after they die.
Did it delete it from spell book on the pet side as well?
Because sometimes in the past it would disappear from bar.

Yes it deleted it from their spellbooks as well. I’ve noticed when the glitch happens my demon’s name changes
There was a way to dismiss your demon in vanilla that actually got rid of it completely, so that the next summon generated a new demon, with a new name, and no trained skills. I used it on one of my minions whose name I hated.
It looks like there’s a bug that when your demon dies, it really dies, maybe even taking the same code path that trick from vanilla used.
For your bug report, even though it’s going to cost some gold, I would suggest testing each of your demons: letting them get killed and resummoning; using Voidwalker sacrifice; using Demonic Sacrifice (if you can get that talent); and finally using the Dismiss/Abandon command in the portrait menu (I forget the exact name). See which of those trigger the problem, and which don’t. If your demon loses trained skills after any of these tests, only train the cheapest one before trying the next test.
This should give Blizzard plenty of information to isolate and fix the bug.
That’s a really good idea. I spoke with a friend of mine who was warlock in Vanilla and this bug existed back then. He said its either caused by the demon being far away and despawning and/or random demon death, he cant remember which.
That’s interesting. I mained warlock in vanilla and never saw this bug, outside of the rename trick. Wanted to bump this up. Still having this issues with demons. Seems to be happening to the fel hunter now whenever I log in
It was not an issue in Vanilla, it IS an issue in Classic. One that has not been fixed. Things like this is why more people in the testing is needed. 500ish people doing the beta is not enough to collect enough data. Especially when a large percentage of them are focusing on chasing level cap BIS.
Someone had a thread on it earlier, I pointed them toward the actual beta test forum. You may want to go find the thread on it there and mention you’re having the same bug.
