It’s extremely sad to see how bad Voidwalker is. It’s supposed to be the “Tank” warlock pet, the one that keeps mobs from murdering your clothy butt.
At the moment, it is literally not worth using. It will not keep threat off you after 2+ spells. It is better to use another demon for faster kill speed even if you’re face tanking mobs.
Hunter pets have phenomenal threat, I would love to see Voidwalkers have that kind of threat, even if it’s through a rune or something.
They also have a Beast Mastery rune that makes Growl an actual taunt!
Yes, that’s why I mentioned if they could add a rune (or to an existing rune) that would buff the threat.
Voidwalker is useful for offtanking, in the event your pulling multiple mobs, you can focus one yourself and the vw holds the others with its defense. But as a primary target its threat is complete trash. There was a rumor about datamined pet scaling, not sure if threat from torment would be effected by this.
voidwalker is for sacc and the extra physical damage reduction in sl. But most times i’d rather run fel pup anyway
