If you log out with a voidwalker summoned and log back in, the soul shard refund mechanism for despawning him by taking flight paths or outranging him doesn’t work. He just goes away.
Low-level characters without mains to feed them gold and bags are really desperate for bag space, we usually only have 1 or at most 2 slots available for shards, especially in Westfall where it seems like every stupid mob has 5 different drops.
this bug goes into the “we’ll get around to it someday (not really)” folder

By level ten you should have your tailoring high enough than you can buy yourself a stack of wool and make yourself some eight slotters.
Barring that, go kill a mob with your imp and get yourself another shard.
Grab two and make yourself a cookie while you’re at it.
Agreed - this bug is super annoying.
20th Anniversary Realms released two weeks ago. This bug Still persists despite them adding features to the Anniversary classic realms.
It is a literal bug, a flaw, a fundamental broken code. It should be fixed not “Worked around” by having to do more work on the player’s part when something should work as intended.
I shouldn’t have to “Go find a mob” Also FYI you only get Soul Shards from Mobs within your level range. Can’t just find a grey mob and get a soul shard.
So people have to go out of their way to get another one because of this bug. it is a bug. Not “Go fight another mob”
