Voidtalon Egg - Unable to loot (level squish issue)

Hey all.

I submitted a ticket and a bug report for this so far. Two days ago I was lucky enough to find the Edge of Reality portal in Nagrand while questing. I went through the portal (on my level 35 Paladin) and was disappointed to see that the Voidtalon Egg was unable to be looted, as it said “Level 40 Required”. According to everything that I’ve read, with the level squish this should now be level 17 to be able to loot the Egg and receive the mount.

I sent in a screenshot of me standing on top of the egg, but I was informed that devs must look into logs. If we could get some traction on this report, hopefully they can look into it!!

Wish i would’ve known it was an issue before I went in! I got a response from a game master for the ticket i opened, but they said devs had to look into it. hoping to gain some traction here since this is definitely a missed level squish thing

Oh, wow, that’s brutal. I can’t imagine the dread of seeing that error message. Wish I could have seen your reaction lol. Hope this can get sorted out for you.

lol i was very upset. was with a friend and got SO excited, then the roller coaster dropped. i just stood there next to the egg for a good 10 minutes

Wow. Another bug in their numerous problems since prepatch landed. So sorry OP I hope you can get this resolved.

Thank you! Yeah, it’s unfortunate but hopefully the Devs can just “look into the logs” as i was told by the GM that responded to my original ticket. Hopefully they could just grant the mount after confirming i was indeed interacting with the egg

Yeah it’s not the first time I’ve seen issues with the level squish. They vaporized 70 levels over night. I couldn’t imagine having to go back to each mob of 8 different expansions to make sure loot is appropriately scaled. Though they probably have some code for that. I hope they give you that mount! It’s well deserved!

Just wanted to update everyone. I logged in today and the mount was in my mailbox! Thanks devs :slight_smile:
