if a dying Priest uses Voidshift on a mage with a temporal shield on. the mage also gets full hp in return after the shield ends, the temporal shield says ( 100% of all damage taken will be instantly restored when the shield ends ) , it only says 100% of damage taken, Void shifting is not taken damage, it’s shifting the hp %, do you just allow or it’s just bug? i’m asking because the spell just doesn’t work what it says
It would seem damage taken means any health lost after use of temporal shield as far as the game is concerned you took damage if your hp has moved down from when you originally used temporal shield.
also this should be in the arena section or the priest section.
Envelops you in a temporal shield for 6 sec. 100% of all damage taken while shielded will be instantly restored when the shield ends.
////
You and the currently targeted party or raid member swap health percentages. Increases the lower health percentage of the two to 25% if below that amount.
p.s. also this should probably be in the priest forums
i don’t really think damage taken and hp swapping is the same… the spell should says ( restoring the HP when it was 6 sec ago after shield ends )
Is your issue with the wording on the tooltips, or the interaction between Temporal Shield and Void Shift?
hp , 100% < activate T.S. /100%-20%hp= 80%hp < T.S. effect restores 20%
I don’t think the ability is scripted to discern how the health was lost, only that health was lost and must be restored.
I get your hang up in a way, but it’s really just semantics
Whether a mage loses half of their health to enemy damage or “swapped” health it’s functionally the same, the mage lost half of their health regardless
if Void shifting is damage taken… if a Spriest Void Shift a ret with a bubble on or Mage with ICE block on, ret and mage shouldn’t be losing HP after Void shifting … i highly doubt the game spell works what it says ,
What you are talking about in the first bit is temporal shifts interaction with void shift, not the interaction between void shift and divine shield.
If void shift is used with divine shield it takes the health but because the paladin has used divine shield part of the scripting for divine shield is that the player using it cant lose hit points.
computers don’t debate semantics they only see in true or false …
