Despawns every time, without fail, after killing the add on it. Doesn’t matter if I kill it slow or fast. Doesn’t matter how many masks I use (tested up to 5 masks, still despawns). Tested with and without Soridomi. Tried both killing the bike and leaving it alive.
This makes getting the mount unobtainable.

Blizzard is apparently aware of this, but no surprise that it’s still not fixed this week.
I’ve seen elsewhere that they may give you the cycle if you put in a support ticket so I suppose I’ll try that.
I tried that, they linked me to a comment section on a Wowhead article about something else entirely.
…I still remember when I got a vacation from these forums for quoting a Wowhead article.

I don’t think it despawns. The interactable body just doesn’t show up where you killed it or where you killed its owner. It’s hard to see, but it’s somewhere in the general area. For some reason I’m unable to interact with one of the bombs for the area progress without pulling it so I’ve experienced this in almost all of the runs I did yesterday.

I think I suffered the “you killed it too fast” effect in three runs before I successfully “looted” the “dead” cycle frame, and in the final successful run I didn’t realize I had succeeded.
The interactible object is absurdly hard to see (practically invisible) and small, and can drop anywhere within a couple yards of the corpse of the rider, and interacts with a magnifying glass “inspect” pointer, instead of a more common “gear” or “hand” pointer.

Nope. I just wanted them to fix the thing so I could start on the work, so I put in a ticket. They were, as per usual, worse than useless. They went as far as to claim they read my ticket thoroughly…then suggested steps I’d already told them I’d taken.
And, at the end, they said “go here and submit a bug report then.” As I said, worthless.

Well, because based on my personal experience, posts here and comments on WoWhead, your comment about the bike “despawning every time” is most likely inaccurate. The bike is most likely in the area, just not as visible as you’d expect it to be or in the place you’d expect it to be.
It’s possible that there’s two different bugs, I literally watched it vanish before my eyes without ever becoming clickable (just like things vanish in world content if you change phases), so, idk…

It may be helpful to enable the interact key in your game options. Many things I cannot see or otherwise loot can often be looted with the interact key. Especially the many things that seem to have a one pixel hit-box.
You cant kill the mob, you need to bring it to 20% THEN interact with the bike. Idk if it always spawns in the same place but for me it was on the stairs. If you kill the mob you won’t be able to click the bike.
Again, as I’ve said before: same thing happens whether I kill the mob or not.

is it possible its just hard to see and you can’t find it? Try typing /tar Voidfire
That should target it if it is just in a location you can’t see. Not saying this is the case, but worth a try.
Nope, wasn’t the case at all. Apparently 5 masks was not enough, but 8+the NPC was (or they fixed it in the past couple days, or I just got lucky and got around the glitch). Wasn’t speed of killing the add, either…I actually “killed” the bike about as fast as I did the first time I tried.

I ended up doing it on another character (ret pally) and it worked. On hunter which I’d been trying it, the bike kept disappearing or wasn’t interactable. For what it’s worth, by “disappearing” I mean completely gone, not that the bike went shooting forward and ended up somewhere nowhere near where it died (as it often does).
I don’t know if you need to have your character be in melee proximity to the bike or land killing blow (vs pet) or if it’s a character issue or what.

I can’t interact with the deathcycle too. Tried 5 times already, the rider jumped of, i killed him and could not interact. I’ve tried to interact without killing the rider and could not either.
