I know I’m one of the few that want the Amani to fully join the Void and Turn on Azeroth, but the story potential keeps me up at night. Let’s say the Amani turn on Azeroth when they reflect on everything that’s been done, The Elves still desecrate their ancient land with their presence, they were betrayed by the Horde, the Zandalari - the spiritually enlightened representation of what it means to be Troll not only allowed the Horde to walk through the Golden City, but the Elves have been allowed to read the scripts and texts previously reserved for true Elves. Now imagine them using what Xal’atath tells them about the Shadowlands, how Prince Kael’thas holds court in the realm of Death, after betraying his people, joining the demons almost burning everything Then there’s Zul’jin, still “seeking redemption” for doing what is needed for his people.
Now imagine the Void Amani, whispering through the Void to Zul’jin (still chained, still found unworthy of redemption) being told about the abject hypocrisy of the Shadowlands, the selfish nature of the Loa, the unfavoring nature of Azeroth, they seek the new Void Lord Xal’atath, who proves her capabilities to resurrect Zul’jin using the Void through the remenants of the Kthaxxi

Haven’t the Amani and Zul’jin suffered enough already…

This sounds like an objectively stupid plot and I am glad every single preview we have seen shows us allying with the Amani and helping them reconnect with their Loa.

I wouldn’t worry there will be plenty of voidsworn trolls for us to kill, probably just a small portion we will work with.
Though the Horde do deserve to get back the Amani in their ranks. they have history there.

That sounds like an incredible amount of effort just to tell one of the most inane and stupid storylines I’ve ever heard.
Like, yes, let’s jump through all of these narrative hoops to bring back Zul’jin just to demonize and kill trolls again. Like, what would even be the point of this?

Maybe the Amani could have some accountability and reflect on how their own actions and their inability to let go of the ancient past lead to their ruin and maybe work to better themselves and participate in Azeroth’s global community.
And not just go even further into the stupidity spiral they’ve been stuck in since the Troll Wars.

That kind of talk is how you would invoke the wrath of a very particular Zandalari warlock
However with all that being said …
I’m sure there’s 100% going to be enemies amongst the Amani we will have to deal with. Same goes for Elves too. Because at the end of the day, arguing some moral authority that one or the other should be excluded from such, is shear hubris & ignorance towards individuality and free will … Amongst ALL cultures.
As we know, free-will can give form to terrible deeds and insidious desires — but it can also give form to wonderful deeds, noble acts and charming desires. So if we have heroes & admirable characters amongst each side as well as enemies, I’d say it’s a good story
Well they made it clear that there are two grandchildren of Zul’jin, a male and female. If I had to guess, I bet one will be more sympathetic toward aid from the alliance and horde against the void.
The other sibling will be angry that the Amani even allowed either faction to step foot on their lands without an axe lodged in their head. This will cause the one sibling to seek aid from the void to rid the Amani of the elves once and for all.
The sibling who sided with the alliance and horde will have to put their brother/sister down and rethink the philosophy of the Amani and their ways to coexist peacefully with the blood elves. Then they can all live happily ever after

Realistically that’s how I see it happening. Do I want that? Absolutely not! I love how the Amani have a burning hatred toward the elves and I hope they never lose that. Troll vs elves is a rivalry that needs to be maintained. I’m biased though because I’m a huge fan of forest trolls, Zul’jin, and Warcraft 2.
You would guess wrong
from color coding one will be the Evil One and one will be the Good One
And before the rewrites on the page, originally the preview said the Amani were rebuilt thanks to Talanji
Same way Alliance got Arathi Human customizations, Horde will get Amani options

I didn’t realize that Talanji was originally the one who helped rebuild their empire. I hope they keep that intact and don’t change it. Zandalari helping out other trolls makes me happy.
And I agree that one will be evil and one will be good.

They need to be accountable for…being displaced and wanting their stolen lands back?
What makes it their obligation to let go of the past when the problems of the past are still ongoing in the present? They remain displaced and they’ve seen multiple invasions of what remains of their home resulting in their home being pillaged, their leaders being slaughtered, and their power being destroyed.
Why should they be willing to work with the perpetrators of these acts at this point? On threat of further violence against them? Lol
I don’t think it’s stupid or unreasonable to defend ones’ own homeland, personally.

I imagine they’ll be held accountable for enslaving their own gods, at the very least. Although there might be other reasons for the Amani’s apparent estrangement from their loa. Maybe it’s Nalorakk and the boys’ opinion that following revanchist warlords into meat grinder after meat grinder has become untenable for the tribe, especially now its Zandalari suzerain has allied with Quel’Thalas.
I mean, the Vegas odds are against Quel’Thalas’s reconversion into troll ruins with the Horde and Zandalar among its allies, and our promised exploration of Amani culture probably should examine differing opinions on the blood war. War-weary Amani should be reminded that their ancestors were wronged by the Highborne, just as wannabe Zul’jins should be confronted with the futility of warring against their descendants in the Horde at this juncture.
They haven’t really “defended” anything for going on three thousand years; some would argue seven. Save for Budd Redneck’s adventure of dubious canonicity, every incursion into Zul’Aman has been a response to direct or intended aggression from Zul’Aman.
Starting a genocidal war over 4000 year old land claims is a bad thing actually.

They didn’t start anything. The elves came up w/ their human buddies, slaughtered them, and stole their lands which they continue to occupy.

Ok, dude, whatever. I have no interest in arguing with someone who’s just making up stuff. Amani fanboys are no different from male human paladins.

The Amani are dogs, unfit for anything but manual labor.
Literally go to the wiki, dawg. Look up Troll Wars, it’s codified lore.
You say that like High Elf colonization defenders are any better lol?

The conflict began when the Amani, hungry for revenge after having been driven from their lands by the high elves millennia prior, launched an all-out assault on Quel’Thalas.
Reading is super hard, I know, but you can get better at it with practice.

This reads like in-universe propaganda, lol.
“These two peoples have been in a kill-on-sight blood war for their entire history, but, uh, the conflict definitely started at this exact moment, when they tried to get revenge on us for all the non-conflict killing and forced relocation we were doing prior to the start of the conflict, which was definitely them.”

The elves weren’t fighting for 4000 years. They were just hiding behind their shield. It was definitely not an on going war.
