Void emissary is really really bad gameplay

This affix just randomly spawns in combat and gives everything around it a damage reduction buff. It regularly overlaps with windows where you have limited time to damage the boss/mobs, either due to the mobs themselves threatening to wipe you or due to boss mechanics.

We frequently have to pump single-target damage into the mob so that it doesn’t keep stacking the aura. This alone makes pulls that it spawns in 20-30% longer.

you telling me people doing 10s cant handle killing one add in a pack that has far less hp than the adds around it?

Can’t be aoed pretty sure, cleaving off it is near pointless as it’s buffing the mobs around it, follows you out of combat even after packs dies so you either stand there and kill it or take it into a new pull buffing mobs. Has more health than you think and the buff it gives you is poo water. The one thing it is good for is making people want to push 12’s to never have to see it at all

I mean if you want to push 12s thats your problems I prefer this to diving through bad stuff to grab orbs especially on the really big bosses people doing 12s are a negligible portion of the player base currently

Those other affixes felt manageable. This one is just trash.

It’s a bit problematic, specifically on certain bosses like Amarth in NW. It always spawns in the 2nd add spawn which really puts the pain on both heals and DPS. All these Xal’atath affixes are really bad.

yeah guess this is an incentive to start doing 12s lol. This affix actually just really annoys me, I’d rather deal with the 20% buff than deal with this mob randomly spawning and screwing the group over.

It was known in Beta they were bad, Blizzard was told in detail why they were bad, but Blizzard did the Blizzard thing and ran out of time/ideas and went ahead with them anyway since there MUST be affixes.
