I’m in the process of unlocking Void Elves. I have both a Warlock as well as a Shadow Priest. Currently, both are Worgens. I’d love to do a race change for one of those characters from Worgen to Void Elf. Which class, in your opinion, benefits and/or fits the most and why?
Warlock has longer casts so it would benefit the most from the racial as well as having multiple specs centered around being dark and spooky as opposed to a Shadow Priest having the one, including tier sets.
I’m in the same place, I can’t decide between Warlock or Priest (Probably never going out of Shadow spec.) Both seem to work so well (well Shadow spec Priests anyway, can’t help but feel that every time a Velf casts a Holy spell the world should explode)
I went with warlock for mine. Void plus fel what could possibly go wrong.
Also I think if a void creature gets to close to the light they explode so you can’t be holy.
The heritage armor looks great and the Netherlord’s Accursed Steed looks really amazing with it. You also don’t suffer from being a walking purple blob like shadow priests do.
Bias because I like Worgen Warlocks. But personally I say keep Worgen Lock and make Spriest a Void Elf.
Thematically Shadow Priests harness void energy as opposed to shadow based on recent lore, so it also makes sense that the Void Elf would be able to tap into those powers.
Not sure how much RP matters for you but a Blood Elf priest who turned from the light to the void and was exiled fits the bill for me.
I like Worgens too. Which is why I’m now considering transforming both my Warlock and Shadow Priest into Void Elves while transforming my current Night Elf Druid into a Worgen.
As of right now, my Warlock is at level 90, my Druid at level 110, and my Shadow Priest at only level 60.
That’s quite a bit to invest in. I guess it depends on how much time you expect to play each character and how much cash you have spare to spend.
Perhaps see which one you feel you want to play the most and then start from there? Contemplate if it’s worth the change after playing that one for awhile.
I DEFINITELY prefer my Warlock over my Shadow Priest since I have quite a bit more time invested in that character. At the same time, I still want a Worgen as one of my top alts. Currently, my top alts are a Worgen Warlock, a Worgen Druid, and a Night Elf Hunter in that order. So maybe it’s best I just do a race change with the Warlock and Druid.
With the right pale skin tone and hair they actually look rather angelic in white transmog. You could pull off an amazing Diablo Angel look with enough effort.
That’s my style for sure! I still don’t know much about the Void Elves in terms of aesthetics. Are they a bluish color like the Night Elves but with the animations being closer to Blood Elves?
They range from pale with hints of blue/purple to outright dark blue/purple and always with glowy white eyes. Beyond that they are basically blood elves in appearance and movement. Here, this might help.
Thematically shadow priest is the obvious choice, not really sure why people are saying Warlock is more void themed. The shadow priest literally goes into void form as their main ability. They fit void elves perfectly.
As far as gameplay goes, warlock is more efficient with everything they do, but I personally find shadow more fun to play plus I like being able to heal.
