Void elves should be able to go to silvermoon city

I’m with you on that, I did it once and I can’t stomach to do it again

I have no problem with this.

Knowledge is power baby.

Not to wow. But to the “consequences of my actions” thingie. Not a fan.

Yes it is?

They were led into delving into it by an Ethereal - after they were exiled. That likely wouldn’t have happened if they weren’t exiled, as last I checked, Ethereals don’t just waltz into Silvermoon all willy nilly.

They chose to practice something that is a danger to the Sunwell, which is a danger to their own people. Saying they didn’t put anyone at risk when their leader did is just wrong. They weren’t exiled because they broke a nail.

Sadly that’s not an option

Funny considering Lor’themar has constantly opened up talks with the alliance to join them.

The player character is constantly reminded “Hey, the Blood Elves are one bad day away from leaving the Horde and rejoining the Alliance with the rest of the High Elves.”

In fact- it absolutely BAFFLES me that Lor’themar was so snubby, rude, and dismissive of Alleria, one of their most esteemed Rangers, when she went to ask them about joining the Alliance when literally two expansions ago he was GOING TO LEAVE THE HORDE until the dalaran incident soured his mood.

Lor’themar wanted to join the Alliance, then HELPED Garrosh to steal a WMD from Dalaran, then got upset he screwed himself out of joining the Alliance while blaming them because they got discovered, then… Gave Garrosh the WMD anyway!?

Lor’themar is legitimately even dumber than the Cloud Village in Naruto trying to steal children the day after a peace treaty. The writers are even dumber for writing it out to be as stupid as it was, and they didn’t even remember that Lor’themar wanted to rejoin the Alliance in the first place.

The “enemies” Lor’themar was going to join a few expansions ago?

Before you delved into forbidden magic and then ran to the Alliance for sympathy hugs it was.

Now you can sleep in the park or whatever.

he was really trying to get away from garrosh not the horde

Really dissapointed I scrolled through this thread and only Hernethehunter posted about going to Silvermoon or, heck, straight up jumping in the Sunwell.

Because you absolutely can. I’ve done it a few times! (Not as easy on a warlock as some classes. Oh well.)

“Garrosh scares me”

“Oh here you go Garrosh, the WMD of forbidden magic you ordered coming right up!”

Legitimately Lor’themar is an idiot and has been written to be one for the longest time.

This is a case of “the grass is always greener on the other side”.

Because personally, I’m a lot happier with my nightborn with a UNIQUE look, some effort put into them, and then a customization pass with more unique efforts than a “soulless clone”.

But individual tastes differ.

All of that story was worth seeing the bell fall on Anduin. And Alliance thinking they were really getting Belves back.

They eventually did, at this point Void Elves can be customized to be Blood Elves in almost every way.

Not in the way everyone thought it would happen. Now they turn into blueberries.

Not remotely.

By that point the Blood Elves had been aligned with the Horde longer than they ever were with the Alliance, the Thalassians who became the Void Elves included. These weren’t a splinter “High Elf” cabal of Alliance Loyalists - the Void Elves arose from Blood Elves. Before they were corrupted and kicked out for being radioactive, they were aligned with the Horde as well.

Remember, Quel’thalas never wanted anything to do with the Alliance to begin with, only begrudgingly joining because Lothar had an ancestral IOU with them. After the Second War ended, they ditched the Alliance then and there. After the zombie apocalypse killed 90% of their race, they had no choice but to come back, but then Grand Marshal Garithos tried to execute the last remaining Thalassian royal for daring to not die on the suicide mission he assigned him explicitly for that purpose.

WarCraft 2 was a bizarre exception in Human/Elf relations. For most of the existence of the Horde and Alliance, the latter’s been the enemies of Quel’thalas. They may have started out as allies, but that relationship did not work, and “normal” relations between them are ice cold if not openly hostile.

So we’re going to ignore the past of the High Elves and Humans and how Humans even learned magic and all of that?

Yeah I suppose if you only look at the very small time between the Horde arriving on Azeroth and now you would think the Blood Elves dislike the Alliance.

Also lmao “Quel’thalas never wanted to join the Alliance, and only begrudgingly join”

You mean, Quel’thalas came running to the Alliance once the Horde came knocking on their doorstep with their ancestral enemy the trolls?

It’s amazing how the High Elves wouldn’t even exist today if it weren’t for the Alliance bailing them out over and over again yet Blood Elf players act like they’re the victims.

The trolls hate you, Garrosh and a ton of orcs hated you, Sylvanas wanted to kill and resurrect all of you, the goblins couldn’t care less about your culture and only want to fleece money out of you, legitimately the major players of the Horde are more hostile to the Elves than the Alliance is outside the Tauren.

That’s hilarious. High Elves exist outside the Blood Elves/Horde and a majority of them are Alliance sided.

Just because Dalaran opened it’s doors back to you doesn’t mean all the High Elves living there have changed alliance.

the darkspear picked the blood elves over their own kind at zul’aman. rest is subjective

theres like 6 alliance npcs, the rest are neutral dalaran elves

Dalaran literally pledged allegiance to the Alliance after Mists. Also, you are drastically underselling the number of alliance High Elf NPC’s, let alone the lore that outright states there are plenty of High-Elves on the Alliance.

Why are Horde players so adamant about refusing the reality that Alliance has High Elves, in even greater numbers than Void Elves?

Yes absolutely. It was a relationship out of convenience according to Anasterian. Most Helves just weren’t that into you. Which is why you ended up with the fringe ones.

Darkspear don’t hate Belves. Alliance just can’t seem to tell the difference between Troll groups.

Garrosh was not the Horde, which is why he was booted.

Sylvanas also was not the Horde and was also booted.

The Goblins could care less about anyone. And good on them for it.
