I will not suggest which classes as I know it causes conflict with some people who are very lore stringent, but as they are both very popular races I think they could really use an extra class or two, especially with the new upcoming customizations. Please don’t suggest playing another race, or classes for other races, VEs and NB is what I’m interested in in this topic and I’d like to keep this thread focused on them. If you want to make class suggestions for other races then feel free to make your own thread. xx

I’ll ignore Void Elves for now. The only classes Nightborne can’t play are Demon Hunters, Druids, and Paladins. Which ones do you want? I can’t see them being Paladins or Druids. A Nightborne Demon Hunter would make as much sense as any other race, besides Night Elf or Blood Elf, becoming a Demon Hunter. The Illidari would have to expand their ranks, like how Bolvar raised Death Knights from Pandaren and members of Allied Races.

Velfs and Nightborne can be 8 classes. Same with Gnomes, Draenei, Worgen, Pandaren, Mechagnomes, Mag’har, regular Orcs, Undead, Tauren and Goblins.
Now let’s look at Lightforged. 6.
Highmountain? Also 6.
So out of 24 races, half of them can be 8 classes, including Velfs and NB. While two of them can only be 6 classes.
Velfs and NB are just fine, actually. And you are correct in that none of the other classes make sense right now.

No new classes make sense for Nightborne at all.
Velves could possibly be shaman like the dark shaman the TH has.
Otherwise really it’s HM and LF who need more classes.

Every AR should have a unique class combo from its parent race. Not doing so defeats the purpose of ARs IMO.

You’re expecting OP to have common sense, when she is one of those that still is asking for more despite the fact that VEs have had the most customizations out of all the ARs.

Give me Nightborne (& Night Elf) Paladins.
Why? Cause I like the sound of those better than them being Druids or DH’s. And Shaman’s make genuinely no sense.

Doesn’t stop me from wanting tattoos, though! (Really I want scars and tattoos that fit all races, though. Every single one!)

I mean…have you seen Suramar? Pet Nightsabers and plants everywhere… seeing as they “cured” their arcwine/Nighwell addiction with Arcan’dor trees I’d think NB Druids would be VERY lore friendly seeing as they are a double mutation of the original Night Elves.

Blood elves have 2 more classes than Void elves. I’m pretty sure DH could work as void does not adversely interact with fel.

No they don’t?
They don’t even have any special slots like all the other AR do. No tattos, no jewelry, no special features, unless you count the new tentacle toggle as one at most.
If you mean raw number of options regardless of the slots, they still don’t have the most at all.

It does. A being infused with both Void and Fel can explode. Two chaotic energies completely infused into a being does not bode well.

I blame it on the lack of content. I’ve played most classes available to Void elves by now, and it has started to get a bit repetitive I’m afraid. I’ve played too much draenei as well so I don’t really feel like playing draenei again to play shaman or night elf for DH. I will be rolling a mage and also playing on warrior once 9.1.5 comes out but yea it can get repetitive.
And since Void elves and Nightborne are the analogy of Belves and Nelves I don’t see why they could not at least be DHs.
Because they didn’t exist when Demon Hunters were created. There needs to be new storyline and a new generation before there are more Demon Hunters. Just like it was for DKs and AR.
