Void elves don't make sense to accept N'zoth's gift

Lore wise.

I mean they are trying to show people that there are other ways besides the light and nature and that the void isn’t all evil.

Kinda defeating the purpose if they are working with N’Zoth and/or Azshara

Didn’t they just want power? Maybe the void isn’t everything and they found something new. Even better if they can use both. Void elves are about being open minded about the possibility of using power.

Why not? We’ve already embraced the Void for power, why not try to squeeze out more. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, if they fail to master the whispers, they more or less would be servants of the Old Gods or other powerful Void Entities.

What? It makes perfect sense. The void elves’ thing is “fight void with void.” Abuse void magic for all its worth without succumbing to it. That’s… their entire thing.

Oh, duh, I was thinking N’zoth and void are separate things…but my point still stands.

That’s some Doc’ Oc’ thinking and I like it.

But you are lore wise, trying to prove that the void isn’t all evil and old gody

Old goddy boy won’t save you from the madness of the void.

No, lore-wise, the Void Elves are trying to prove themselves to the Alliance despite their use of dark magic. They’re putting N’zoth’s wicked void powers to use to defend the Alliance and show people that practitioners of void magic aren’t inherently evil.

Maybe they’re just like the calm before a storm…

Void is just another form of nature.

All radiance is blissful.

Even perfect darkness.

The way is just so.

Void elves in line with the void would see this truth inherently.

No need to do anything but what’s in their nature.

But like all things in nature, will seems to try to find a way to enslave it.

That’s maybe the fun and interesting thing about the void…

…there’s nothing to enslave.

There are a couple void elf NPCs that say that they want to show people that the void is just another power that can be used

That’s kinda what I’m saying. Using dark magics doesn’t make someone cartoonishly evil, that’s what the VEs are trying to show the Alliance.

But being with N’Zoth and/or Azshara is kinda defeating that purpose. Since both are evil and beyond redemption

But is it evil to use evil to fight evil?

What is more changeable than mind?

Evil is just a temporary perception.

Void is a more honest foundation for reality.

Nothing lasts forever.

Yes and no

No if you are doing it like a DK. Dks do the needed darkness to save Azeroth

Yes, if you are serving N’zoth and/or Azshara. Because you are still serving a evil master

Taking N’zoth’s gift - which is basically an extra source of power - isn’t necessarily serving him. It’s using him.

Or maybe he’s using us?

‘Das Gift’ :>

I’m not into RP, but wouldn’t this really depend on how you define your character’s personal motivations?
