Void Elves Demon Hunters

Blizzard please,
everyone wants it, it is time.
It fits in the new development paradigm (cow rogues).

Thank you very much.

If they get it then so should nightborne.

Make their meta form look like Sarkareth when he’s void corrupted

You are one of the few who want this.

Any new demon hunters don’t make sense. Lore wise. Current demon hunters are extremely lucky because they were guided by illidan. Even then, a lot died from the transformation. Or “ceased to exist” because they wanted to detransform

Nothing makes sense, its just a game.
I am up for any race to be DH, just let Velves be first.

Or just make it available to all, like all the classes should (and hopefully will) be.

My guy Illidan can just do the same thing he did with the elves to all the others, it really wouldn’t be that lore breaking.
Besides, gatekeeping classes because of “lore” is ridiculous.
I mean, worgs are human, human can be pally, why not worgs? Doesn’t make much sense there does it? Hell, they can be priests, so clearly it ain’t a “but cursed” problem with using the power of the light.

I’d like to see orc demon hunters, if we’re speculating. They’ve got a solid grudge against the Legion as well. And seeing an already furious orc hulk out into a straight-up demon would be pretty impressive, if I’m being honest.

Its just a ritual that doesnt involve some god or anything that doesnt exist anymore. No real reason other races cant do it besides gatekeeping.

Draenei make more sense if they’re only slowly opening DH up.

It’s been long enough in lore for them to have taught some new ones but you have to ask yourself if we want that before say, Void Elf Druids.

Would it make sense? No. But having a Void Bear would be cool.

Pretty sure you only speak for yourself not everyone else, stay in your lane.

False

Speak for yourself, and classic characters hold no weight in retail discussions.

Actually, you’re pretty much in the minority on this topic.

It’s just a ritual that causes death 95% of the time without proper guidance and 90% death with proper guidance

I’m someone who takes lore into consideration while simultaneously acknowledging that it’s been years, or decades in many cases, that the races have intermingled, so some cross pollination of classes is believable.

With that said, there are certain classes where lore doesn’t provide the space to be taught. Only Drakthyr can be Evokers, only NE and BE can be DH’s, but Void Elf DH’s would be believable since you could say a BE DH became a Void Elf, thus Void Elf DHs. Any new races being a DK also doesn’t make sense, since both Lich Kings are dead.

So… the very fact that worgs have been able to be death knights LONG before allied races even existed already breaks the lore. I mean, I had a worg dk before MoP existed as an expansion.
And they can’t be pallys even though they are human and even while afflicted can be priests and use the light no problem. So it isn’t a “but afflicted” issue.
locking classes behind “lore” is stupid for exactly reasons like this.
They did it back then not because of lore, but because of balance reasons, even now alliance has more options for pally in terms of race than horde. Can’t have it be too unbalanced. It’s the reason why Shaman became universal to both sides, not lore, balance.
People who say “but lore” with classes don’t understand that it was never truly about lore that was locking it anyway. It was fairness and balance to the players playing the factions. Sure lore plays a part, but in reality? It’s a video game, it’s going to be more about balancing the gameplay. And at this point, there isn’t a need to lock the classes for arbitrary reasons.
