Void elves customization

For males i would think a stronger muscle mass then BE’s, less refined beards/mustaches but still high class like. Eyebrows wouldn’t be as long obviously. I don’t think they would have as round faces as humans, but it shouldn’t be as narrow as BE’s either (though I wouldn’t mind customization as either) I would think they would adapt both human ways of fighting and elves since they won’t be lore wise as agile, but stronger then BE physically. They shouldn’t have as pronounced eye glow as BE either.

I can get behind that, though I do think DJ’s should get red, green, and dark violet eyes too.

Something like you describe would be ideal for that posters idea above to be honest it would have been a model change at least, and really leaned on the whole “Human” “Adjacent” elf that really seems to be the main thing for a lot of people, while still maintaining the narrative exclusivity that Blood Elves have with Horde.

Depends, I mean on the build part and height there is flexibility between human and BE (my biggest complaint is that VE/BE is practically twigs swinging giant weapons, which is silly) postures is always free game as they can easily come up with new stances either from. Eastern martial arts or European martial arts.

Well the idea was never that they were bad, it was always meant to be a gray area that let the player decide who their blood elf was, and what they wanted. In the original interview for the Burning Crusade release they go over this concept pretty handedly.

I believe Kael’thas elves’ best represented the corrupt, and darker nature of the Blood elves, while the Silvermoon Blood elves were designed as their foil. Desperate for survival like many of the other Horde races, but not truly evil. I’m glad their story, and arc progressed throughout the Burning Crusade, and I felt a nice sense of closure to their story when the Sunwell was restored. I always loved the High elves throughout Warcraft, and I would have been greatly disheartened to see them fall further down such a dark path.

I choose to play Blood elves because they best represent the elves I loved playing in the RTS games, which is not a feeling I get when I think of Dalaran, or Stormwind High elves, who’s theme feels largely anemic after having been stripped of their culture and history and turned into humans with pointy ears. They don’t deliver that otherworldly, magical feeling, but rather refugees playing house with their hosts.

Vereesa and Silver Covenant always felt like an Alliance analog to experience the Blood elf story, as their inclusions typically always revolved around their interaction with the Sin’dorei in some way. They are seen wearing human clothes, wielding Human weapons, and speaking plain english, and never felt like they truly deserved to inherit and carry the High elf story in the same way Blood elves did.

Void elves seem to fulfill that corrupt concept more comfortably now anyway, seeming to almost mirror the perspective of Kael’thas and his elves as they consort with dark forces, aiming to seize any power necessary to ensure their survival, and way of life. Which I feel is more interesting for the Alliance than human High elves anyway.

There are so many points I want to applaud all at once from this single post :raised_hands:t5:

Interesting yeah I’m not sure what the current stances are but I am sure a stance change coupled with model change would have been nice.

*also side note are golden eyes on this character showing again

Sylvanas… whats wrong with your face?

I was kinda hoping for amber or orange eyes for Blood Elves.

I also want Dark Rangers in some capacity though I’m more on the side of making those a Forsaken customization.

Honestly the best possible for me would actually be an AR of the Dark Rangers…

I digress though.

For the AR route, I’d go with San’layn. That’d pretty much give Dark Rangers, more or less.

True, but I feel like dark rangers and San’layn would have different racials too.

I’d want both.

Not to mention a huge array of other races.

I think of fire mages when I imagine amber/orange eyes for blood elves.

Not sure how lore sensible it is…

But if we assume blood elf purple is heavy arcane, light blue just ambient arcane from the Sunwell and gold ambient/practicing Light from the Sunwell it could work out that really working with fire or blood magic could make amber?

(I realize I didn’t include Fel green I just assumed we didn’t have to explain. :stuck_out_tongue: )
