Honestly, most of the races need similar treatment in regards to scars, as orcs, night elves and some other.
Humans have scars as a part of their face, while orcs and night elves have them seperate from the face.
Boo blizzy!
This though, yush!
While cool I feel like it would be a little messy lorewise, since the wretched look did not came in the same way that the withered look for the Nightborne did. Wretched is the overall result of too much magic absorbed, which is a total contrast of the early story of Blood Elves where meditation and moderation where highly practiced. If you started showing signs of becoming wretched you were already far gone - it goes fast as the incident in QuelâLithien would suggest.
(Kushiela is my BElf). I feel compelled to roll female because I donât like the male appearances of the other elf races. I like black hair and didnât use any of the new options (except to change my BElf).
I want someone who got a bit too close, then was yanked from the brink by timely intervention.
I would also accept it for Nightborn, though in the opposite direction.
But I donât think that particular wish of mine would be popular, and itâd probably require a model toggle, and itâs not terribly realistic an expectation. Iâd just like it.
If you think itâs odd people take opposition to your request but not the constant spamming displayed by the HE community since long before I even was on the forums I think earning the reputation from even the old forums from what people have said then once again that is your bias on display.
Careful with that take, that would imply YOU -as in the person behind the avatar- are nothing but an entitled prejudiced jerk. And I don´t think that would be a fair assesment.
Fact is, communication becomes pretty terrible while using internet and similar media because people (as in most if not all of us) don´t get stressed over actually having to act politely and respectfuly, ergo people feel more ârelaxedâ in regards to bringing the inner scumbag they usually only invoke when truly aggravated.
Exacytly. Cause as science proves it, one NEEDS reliable data. And the only ones that could have this reliable data are Blizzard Entertainment (and only if they device a study properly designed to qualify this behaviour in the playerbase population; the data alone is NOT good enough. The way you collect it IS important too).
Ergo, not relevant for you. Then pray tell, why should I relegate my time worrying over the Helfers and their desires when you guys basically ignore the issue and literally devote the minimum attention to MY own pledge?
⌠dude, if you legitimately think the trash tier âfollow upâ Belf fans got regarding the Sunreavers is âbetterâ than the hypothetical option that consisted in the devs leaving the whole story just like it was (a.k.a. finished), then I´m afraid you don´t even get the problem in the first place. You become part of the problem for believing any kind of attention is âgoodâ.
Better yet, it is really as popular as people believe? Why is it popular, maybe because it´s the ONLY one with a VERY useful hero class for the whole freaking faction?
Paladins were the actual cause. Had the Sunwalkers or the Prelates become implemented as a playable class/race combo BEFORE plyable Belves, you can bet there would be less apparent Belf PCs.
Heck, they became so âbloatedâ because Legion aggravated this same issue by proxy of putting an exclusive (and usually OP on one way or another) class available ONLY on Belf toons -the Demon Hunters-.
If I can speak for my friends here, at least Iâm pretty sure about them. Theyâre all way more laid back than the people offended because we disagree with them. Weâre doing just fine and whatever Blizz decides Iâm sure weâll be ok.
But yeah you are the one who needs the snickers.
I freely admit my only blood elf for a while was the paladin before Ikniq, so they got me that wayâŚ
Then I had a rogue for a bit because of the female stealth crouch which is a thing of beauty⌠a hunter so I could argue with paladins in BC and Wrath⌠a few others that have fallen to the mists of time⌠I didnât really keep a blood elf until Ikniq for longer than an expac. They tended to get deleted for my NEXT IDEA.
she ate a dark naaru, which is not anywhere close to minor lol.
Also we need a source on that claim about replicating that ritual, specially since it was shown to be a painful process that Umbric does not seem to want anyone else to go through.
Doubtful, the group that shuns arcane vampirism is all the sudden gonna pick up a magic that wants to consume all things?
Also there is no ritual in play showing they are converting.
In the story âA thousand years of warâ Alleria was injected with some void, which was what eventually led her down that path. She had several hundreds of years of training with that locus-walker person, then she could open rifts here and there, no mention of a void form though, we first see that when she ate the dark naaru, I am pretty sure I detailed what abilities she had in my post, did I not?
According to reproducing the proces, I may have been a little quick in my trust in wowpedia. They linked to an interview done with Danuser
wowpedia claims
The void elves are not recruiting, necessarily, but they are open to those who share similar interests. Their research has attracted other elves to Telogrus, with both Silvermoon scholars and high elven wayfarers arriving to study the ways of the Void. They are trying to find out if they can reproduce the original process that transformed the void elves.
You can see Silvermoon scholars and high elven wayfarers in Terogrus, and as Danuser states, it is only natural that some would be curious about the magic and why else would the scholars and wayfarers be in Terogrus?
However, I actually canât find anything in the article that suggests that the Void Elves are trying to find a way to reproduce what created them. Maybe you are luckier than I am.
Whoever wrote the wowpedia line may have been a little too vague.
I found what Steve Danuser said
âBut itâs natural as other elves have found out about them â elves who are interested in new sources of magic, power, or opportunities â would see if they could undergo a similar process.â
It is not so much that the Void Elves themselves are actively trying to find a way to reproduce what they went through, but those who are interested in learning more are trying to find a similar process that they could undergo.
She was infected, but ultimately it didnât give her enough juice to âchangeâ her, if anything she gotten the good old case of whispers and that was it.
HmmmâŚwe will have to see,atm in game it os only indicated that they are there to study. which is normal in high/blood elf society to do
Iâd personally like to have some Night Elf and Draenei styles if anything, as well as an Odango hairstyle for Void Elves. Basically a longer version of the new Gnome Pigtail hairstyle. Iâd love the color too!
Well, I did say earlier I wasnât going to yuck anyoneâs yum and I did also say elaborate hairstyles, so⌠woo!
Genuinely, though, that could look cool with a paladin with the bright red hair and one of the red white and gold tier sets⌠or, because reading comprehension and you said void elf, a mage and the purple hair.
Itâs debatable whether the same process takes place for the new generation of void elves recruited after the accident. They could just canonically learn to harness void magic.
yes. elsharin has been there since vanilla. one of the 6 alliance high elf npcs put in alliance territory from 2004-present to reflect this small piece of lore
Other high elf remnants have chosen to rejoin the Alliance in recent years, arriving to a cold reception.[2]
and we know from developer comments on the subject, this only constitutes a few scattered individuals
Yeah, if they did have any hill to die on in terms of visual distinction, they could have kept blood elves having natural hair colors but they clearly didnât do that. Itâs a battle thatâs already over. And hey, Iâm fine with void elves AND blood elves getting pink, purple, blue and green hair if they are willing to share the love.
