Void Elves Are the ONLY Real High Elves

I keep seeing people claiming void elves aren’t high elves. They are.

In fact, they are the ONLY playable high elves. Because the blue eyes are not what makes them high elves, their genetics don’t matter here, it is where their allegiance lies. A blood elf who has blue eyes is not a high elf and does not refer to themself as such. They followed Kael’thas, jumped into the Horde, and identify as a blood elf. They will never call themselves high elves.

That’s why Horde blue-eyed blood elves are not high elves.

The original void elves were blood elves, so they are not high elves. Like Umbric.

However, in Telogrus Rift, there are actual Alliance high elves inquiring about becoming void-infused blueberries. THOSE are the elves you’re playing when you pick fair-skinned (or dark-skinned), blue-eyed void elves.

That’s why Alliance void elves are the only true high elves. You’re literally playing a true high elf. Welcome to the playable Alliance, high elves. :blue_heart:

Horde? Nope. Still a blood elf. Eye color doesn’t make you one or the other, your allegiance does.

If genetics don’t matter, why are there so many people complaining that Void Elves ARE NOT High Elves?

Well u could also make the NPC dalaran guard outfit with New VE skin tone. And u would be an Dalaran High Elf

Not sure. They are high elves. Not the blood elves-turned-void elves, but the high elf ones are.

Because they want the classic theme classes and Racial that would be teamed to them.Hair color/haircut I guess the eyes too. Thats they should have gotten over the one given to a last minute crafted lore

Why do I feel like you want to eat me? I don’t taste that good…

I’m only 1/2 elf, just saying.

I’ve been a high elf since bc

It’s simple actually. The void elfs leader Alleria Windrunner is a high elf. So, void elfs now get High elfs skins similar to Alleria.

So what do we call the elves that aren’t loyal to either faction?

Hopefully more people come to see your side, since there seems to be a lot of tension about whether or not they are actually High Elves (and an increase in demand for High Elves).

No, you’re a blood elf. Genetics do not make you a high elf.

I would call them traitor. or in case of VE childish kid who doesnt know what they want. They left Alliance to turn Blood Elf leaving the alliance by the same occasion. And now Horde isnt sweet anymore they return back to alliance as if nothing ever happened

So… By your logic a High Elf are the ones who decided against carrying a name that honors their dead because they didn’t want to drain mana from living beings but instead let themselves to be mutated by the void

Ok

Yup, High Elves are those who turned their back on their kin in their greatest time of need and instead stayed in human lands feeding off magical relics.

It’s so sad that in 15+ years of WoW and multiple Alliance AND Horde quests and scenarios that actively elude to “This group of High Elves that the Alliance refer to and want, is not Blood Elves”, that some people are just now understanding.

Yes, your Blood Elf is physiologically a High Elf, but you are not and never have been the group who actually refers to themselves as High Elves, and are canonically on the Alliance
