I just saw this incredible mockup by an artist on Twitter for in-between skin tones. These tones would allow for the Void Elves to still remain unique, but give more high elf leaning options. In a best case scenario, I see them being added to the skins already available, bringing the customization options more up to par with some of the other races.
I think they are really cool and well done. I’m unsure of how to post the actual photos, but I can link to the tweet. I think everyone should see them!
(Commentary): It’s sad that a compromise is even needed, to be honest. That said, the artist does excellent work. My own opinion is that Void Elves should get more void related options, not less. Just add High Elves as an Allied Race to the Alliance already. Set them apart from Blood/Void Elves by giving them Druids and Shamans thanks to their time in the Alliance among the Wildhammer Dwarves and Night Elves.
No thank you. No high elves. The Horde has high elves. They renamed themselves the blood elves. We have a few token NPCs and a faction that survived the scourge of everyone rolling the same race. Let’s keep it that way.
All it would take is a single spell (just like the one Worgen have) that allowed for Void Elves to transition between High Elf and Void Elf forms at will. Alleria can do it, no reason the allied race can’t.
…and it’s always the same few people. Unless she’s just new to the forums with her 8 posts.
Giving Void Elves human equivalent skin tones defeats the purpose of Void Elves. They didn’t make Alliance high elves playable for a reason and that reason remains.
I honestly do not think Void Elves need to be toned down to looking almost normal. I would rather they just get more than 3 real options for skin tones.
Normal looking Void Elves aren’t going to fill the need for High Elves because they still aren’t High Elves.
