i think in lore terms they would be dead because they exploded.
we have had an in game example of what happens when 2 opposing forces meet in one body.

Just to drive the point home the above post is the very “we want class skins” but also “what we really want is a regular Paladin” thrown in there NEXT to the class skin.

There’s no reason why dark paladins couldn’t be a thing. Champions of the Void, seekers of truth. Opposed to champions of the Light, seekers of self righteousness.
Edit: This be appealing to many races not just void elves. Forsaken would sign up by the droves. Mag’har would sign up to exact revenge upon its enemy. Mechagnomes would sign up because of the freedoms and knowledge offered which they value above all.

what I PERSONALLY want from a class skin is for ALL paladin types to be represented, not just regular paladins. Sun walkers, blood knights, default paladins, a magma based idea for dark irons, lightforged influenced, elune, voidy, theres so many lore friendly options . . . then again based on your posts, you’d limit each of these skins to certain races and make sure void elves could only have a void skin. Makes me wonder if you think blood elves should be limited to a blood knight skin honestly . . .
at any rate . . . class skins are a million dollar idea that Blizzard would be foolish to ignore.

the void elf paladin still makes no sense to me. the whole way paladins work as explained in-game is through unwavering belief in the Light, which is why groups like the scarlet crusade can continue to call on the Light for evil. because they have pure belief in their own righteousness.
to become a void elf they had to at some point come to the conclusion “hey, maybe the void is actually the answer to all our problems” which means they lost faith in the Light.

I’m gonna go further and say that an actual dark paladin class with the three roles light paladins have would be immensely popular. The Light doesn’t have ownership over resurrection, healing, justice, vengeance, protection. It only thinks it does. Meanwhile its whole presentation is a lie. The void doesn’t offer a front. Be its champion fight in its name but know that it will always be in communication with you. Power comes with a price. Can you afford it?

I mean I think it’s pretty clear some people are trying to finesse their regular Paladin w the idea of an actual void themed class skin.
That above “example” literally just has a picture of a regular Paladin for VEs so not a class skin at all.

I mean, you could say that about of a lot of race class combos that could potentially open up, like say “why would mag’har ever even CONSIDER touching the light”. Its honestly more of an individual by individual bases (perhaps said mag’har RPs as a main universe one or something)
setting aside high elf role players like myself, its really more a case of player expression . . . and trust me this is coming from someone who has up until recently been VICIOUSLY against things like draenei warlocks, undead paladins, and blood elf druids . . . to quote a certain orcish warmonger . . .

I get that, but the basis of the argument is whether void elf paladins should be a thing. I don’t think anyone’s suggesting “void knight” as a class or that void elves would be locked to it. So it’s still ultimately about void elf paladins.
I mean, this is also a good idea, my only concern would be if they could make a full class out of it whilst feeling unique and not just a “reskinned paladin” as it were.

tbh I always more took that as being because in the new cosmology Light and Death are not opposed, Light and Void and Life and Death are.
I am suggesting an actual void knight class. One that plays very similarly to the paladins we have now. But has different names for spells. There is no Judgment. There would be Admonishment. No Holy Light rather Endless Void. If thought out entirely and planned well it would be hugely popular
No issue at all with that. Void deserves a class to itself.

Hence my follow up. They would really have to think it through and also give it spells and abilities that aren’t just the same thing with a different name and color but actual counter spells. Spells tue void would he more than willing to accommodate. Templar’s verdict? Nah how about Harsh Truth or something like that
