Void Elf Paladin make a lot of sense

ive been having this same debate with people since wod, when blizz announced allied races

That sounds painful. Not sure I would have the constitution for that, that is about 8 years of dedication. I’m not taking sides, but whatever the case is, it ain’t worth it in the forums. “opinions=facts” most of the time.

cheers Naughtymoon

Honestly you’re takes are always so on point

When I as a High Elf fan want to play a High Elf I know which race I’m choosing, the actual side w the kingdom and Sunwell and light and arcane themes.

When I play my VE I’m sad that we didn’t get as many void customizations but I can’t ignore the fact VEs got in every customization pass, and that HE fans for the Alliance essentially caused what Void Elves would receive. It seems odd to think we’d retain our own visual uniqueness, get to completely make our parent races visual uniqueness null and void, get DR options, the tentacle toggle we received, yet still think we’re the group that’s lacking bcz we lack things that even our core race parallel lacks but many core races lack.

WoW doesn’t revolve around VEs honestly. Other races need more first and it’s in poor taste to act like VEs are the worst off imo.

I’m not sure if that was satire, but it came off as extremely sarcastic.

eye colors are good. nightborne need more eyecolors

reminder that we should stop gatekeeping customizations

Are you sure you know what gatekeeping is because legit people want things different from people like you, for example I wanted pink hair color and glowy skintones for my Void Elf where you wanted blonde hair and blue eyes, wanting something else isn’t gatekeeping no matter how much you and people like you try to spin it and if you are salty because Core Races get more attention play a Core Race instead of an Allied Race.

? so i’m not a legit person because i wanted a thalassian variant on alliance?

Think that was supposed to be said with a pause, like, legit, people

Quit trying to twist my words Hyper you know what I meant, which is people legitimately wanted different things from you it’s sad people like you still try to push some kind of victim complex when you get stuff handed to you time after time while other races get ignored.

not worst, i’m tired of having nothing new for hair.

We still arguing over here?

I mean, that argument could actually be used against anyone in the WoW community because of how diverse the community is and their desired entitlements. We see it with class envy, faction envy, i mean even racials in each faction.

I would agree generally but in the case of Void Elves they have gotten new customizations three times where others have only gotten them once or not at all so to me someone trying to push that Void Elves are lacking is really insincere.

Wanting to preserve the visual uniqueness of Blood Elves was also a request from players that I’ve seen so many times.

It doesn’t mean “more” customization if it’s just making the parent race redundant. The “more” customization is always good line is disingenuous in that regard. Ignoring the core issue, no one’s against more customization but infringement on visual uniqueness.

I wanted Azshara eyes for VEs. Not the High Elf agenda fitted onto VEs.

Why are people trying to twist words now, I feel like that’s just not needed.

That’s why I inquire if I am unsure of someone’s meaning or stance on a particular point.

we need more hairstyles. nightborne need better handglows, better shoulder fittings, more eyecolors. gnomes and trolls need more, especially zandalari, pandas need more, belfs could use more haircolors and tats. everybody needs more, as dracthyr prove more can be added.

You specifically wanted non void natural colored hair colors did you not? As well as a void tentacle toggle to toggle off tentacles on styles w them?

You got that in the second of three customization passes void elves have had.

I’m not engaging this idea that VEs haven’t gotten anything least of all specifically what they have gotten is all stuff you’ve wanted and asked for.

Nightborne need a lot of work in general but again Dark Iron’s were the only race that did not receive any cosmetic options in Shadowlands so they should be priority.

Honestly I don’t see why Blizzard isn’t providing upgraded cosmetics for all races evenly. That type of envy can definitely create conflicts, but blizzard isn’t great with listening, and the community is pretty bad at convincing and communicating with devs. So its just a matter of time before anyone gets something I suppose.

I personally wasn’t a fan of the concept of “Void elves.” I was leaning more towards the “high elves” concept. Unfortunately that never came through. It is what it is, and blizzard won’t let an opportunity to make cash slip through their fingers. If they gave the VE community what they wanted (and its segmented outline views) it wouldn’t be as toxic as it is generally. The forums seem pretty filled with venom that isn’t necessary imo. Hyper hasn’t had any say in the matter, in fact I doubt any of us on the forums hold much sway when it comes to game design decisions unless there is a massive exodus to another mmo.

I’d be up for Blood elves and Void elves sharing hairstyles. Void elves would only have the tentacles though. I’d also like for Orcs and Mag’har to share hairstyles, and add new hairstyles.
