Blizzard is still firmly on the track of not adding any additional classes to any races because taking 15 minutes to make a velf hawkstrider charger would mean that’s 15 minutes not spent on a $35 store transmog set.

Void is the opposite of Light. If there was a new Void/Light class for Void Elves it would make more sense for it to be some sort of Dark Paladin with similar powers but based on darkness, not on light.

Void Elves should be the first race to get the “Dad” class. The Dad class fights by drinking beer and yelling at the television, traumatizing the enemy with strings of slurs and cacophanous jeers.
It’s like a dark bard.

They are not doing this in Midnight. They walked back on their implementations and said it will be done when it makes sense.
And what I want they will never give me: Void colored Paladin spells for Velfs so that I can be a Void Knight.

Void elf did get a new class they got demon hunter and a void styled spec for it

I dont know why blizzard loves making npcs of class/race combos we cant play.
Because yeah theres no reason void elves shouldnt get paladin. They’re a thing in lore (for some reason).
Same with night elves, kul tiran, and im sure many others.

To clarify – They said they’d add more classes to more races.
But they did NOT say: All classes = for all races
As for the subject of Void Elf paladins, personally I think that’s stupid unless they change the light-animations to void — but eh …

There was a NElf priest that became a Paladin in Legion. Her dead uncle was a Paladin too. We still don’t have playable Nelf pallys.
Wouldn’t hold your breath on Velf ones.

I might have missed something, but wasn’t “when it makes narrative sense” always their stance, at least going back to Ion’s interview a few years ago?
I’d be genuinely surprised if we don’t get at least one new race/class combo at some point during Midnight.
And yes, I’d love race/class-themed spells and customizations. Probably won’t happen, but would be great.
I love how many people get uptight over class/race combos we can’t play because of NPC’s when that’s literally been a thing since the beginning of WoW, NPC’s are special, we are not.
Plus it’s not Void Elf Paladin NPC’s, there’s literally one and it should stay that way because she’s a lore abomination.

I think OP is just venting frustration because the alpha testing has the Midnight intro experience currently, and during the experience we run into every single Paladin NPC that’s ever existed and is still alive. This includes the Void Elf, Night Wlf and Kul Tiran Paladins we’ve seen in previous expansions.

At one point they said they wanted to do all classes all races and were working on it. Then walked it back to “nothing any time soon” and “only when it makes sense.”
Thus, they shoehorned Velf DHs and nothing else yet.

Exactly! Blade of Despair rather than wrath, Grasping tendrils instead of highlord’s judgment, Final verdict could be a dark void meteor instead of a hammer, or something. So much amazing opportunity here for unique flavor and it’s crazy it hasn’t been done.
Except she was given specific dialogue explaining how she can still use the Light, she’s shows up the Sunwell to defend it, and the Light has been doing pretty stupid stuff for years at this point.
Void elves will probably get paladins around the time night elves get theirs, so maybe in another 5 to 10 years.
We literally have void elf paladins in WoW. She even describes her philosophy as being only able to see the stars at night.
Look, every race will likely get paladins, its all a question now of when.
