My understanding was that for the Nightborne, at least, they do not front flip. They're too haughty. I would think that, by way of similar logic, Void Elves also, do not twirl.

The thing is, it's not just that the twirl is gone, it's that the animation is terribly janky and it's too much for my OCD. There definitely seems to be a frame or two missing in the beginning of the jump animation which leaves it feeling really terrible.

See my previous post. This is false; male void elf twirl still works fine.
Please fix this. As stated the male model still has a unique jump animation, no reason to take away the female one.
also tested this on my 110 void elfs. my male still spins, female does not. literally unplayable

This comparison doesn't really make sense lore-wise, since the Nightborne are very distant from the Night Elves, yet the Ren'dorei only recently split from the Sin'dorei. The Nightborne also have a different posture from Night Elves, whereas the Void Elf model just a reskin of the Blood Elf model. The Void Elves are Blood Elves, just infused with the Void. They even speak the same language (Thalassian).
Also, as I mentioned in a previous post, Blizz's customer service reps told me that they logged on to my account and saw the twirl happening, and that it had not been removed. And as others have stated it's working fine for male Void Elves. So I really doubt this is not a bug.
Though admittedly, it would not surprise me if Blizz's customer service reps were totally left in the dark about a nonsensical, half-implemented change like this.
It's quite the crisis.

I leveled a void elf after the 8.0 patch from 20 to 110 and never saw the jump once.

Just for the record, I missed the jump twirl at first, but got used to and now prefer a consistent, realistic jump animation. We're not silly, misguided blood elves any more.
The jump twirl was one of the main reasons I made a void elf to begin with, without it the jump is just plain boring imo.
