Man.... I get that they have more pressing matters to attend, but quality customer service would mean at least publicly acknowledging the problem, and offering some platitude that the issue is known and will be addressed sometime.
The whole look and feel aspect of the game is important. A toon with clunky movements is not enjoyable to play--at least, not when you are accustomed to beautiful, smooth animations from the same toon (or character model).
Yeah, I was really bummed that my toon didn't spin when she jumped after I made the change to Velf. I hope they fix this
Still would like an update on this Blizz.
Soooo......You guys like my Hallow's End costume?
I'm a Disappointed Velf.
I'm a Disappointed Velf.
Ten pages of complaints, female void elf jump animation still bugged to death on PTR, and not even a whisper of official acknowledgment. We are SOL for a good while yet, I reckon.
Be nice if they'd even just come say that we're SOL for a good while yet....
All they have to do is say something .
This is the Bug Reports forum. You report bug, QA triages report, puts it into developer queue if it seems legit.10/05/2018 09:42 AMPosted by VolleyAll they have to do is say something .
Except in unusual cases, at no point does Blizzard respond.
Quoting the relevant FAQ ( https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/11307560726 ):
Why didn't Blizzard respond to my bug report?: Only Blizzard knows why they chose not to respond to your post. However, many of the responses I have seen on this forum are requests for additional information. Given that, it is safe to assume that if there's no Blizzard response to your bug, then you wrote a Good Bug! Congratulations!
<_>
That's....aggravatingly vague, then. Might be great for quick fixes, but something months-old and 10 pages long warrants a "hey, looking into it" at least, imo.
Would take 2 seconds, help assuage against the "Blizz isn't listening anymore" meme, and is just a decent thing to do.

Here's hoping to exceptions....
Still haven't forgotten. Just a little we know? It would make every one feel better.
Fix my twirl please. I will not give up!

What are they actually fixing from the past month or two months? >_>
They fixed certain missing pet models a few weeks into BFA, there's no reason this issue shouldn't have been fixed a few weeks into it also.
It might be time to start a thread in the 8.1 PTR forum too if there's not one up already.
EDIT: Looks like there is one.

I think you are all missing the obvious that Void Elfs are the new emo edge race and would not be caught dead doing something as vapid as twirling. Now if you would like to twirl and or play a high elf, kindly roll a blood elf.
You do not deserve fancy jumps, you are Alliance now. go be dull and jump dull like XD
Doop doop dooooo…….

FWIW, I didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, and I hope the QA team will make an exception to at least confirm they believe you and the devs are on the job.
But I thought you deserved to understand that historically, that's not a high likelihood.
I sympathize. It seems like a small thing, but I'm sure it's jarring. And seemingly a small thing to fix, and such an odd thing to have broken to begin with.

It really does seem odd- what that changed in a patch would even touch on a jump animation?

Nope. It isn't just the lack of twirl, duder--it's the missing animation frames. It is seriously jarring.
And male void elves still get to twirl, so again--nope.

Almost all my characters are blood elves, tyvm. Your argument falls flat on its face when you consider that male void elves still get the fancy jump animation.
