The lore of both races are different; the Void Elf are the popular Allied Race in the Alliance side, Nightborne on the other hand are not popular; even have need violet Night Elf in the Horde side, how Elven races is different?
Nightborne have lore that isn’t stupid. Void elves have racials that aren’t stupid.
The Nightborne have the Night Elf models, but they’ve been warped to be thinner and to have a different posture. Their racials aren’t that great, but neither are Velves in my opinion.
I think it comes down to customization. Void Elves have many options, Nightborne have very very little. And the options they have suck. I feel like their character models are low resolution as well.
But I do prefer Nightborne over Void Elves, for their lore, which is far more fleshed out than the Void Elves.
Hell, no. Nightborne have some amazing options now. The main things I would love to see added to them now is the option for more vibrant tattoos, and a redo/alternative for the male heritage armor so it shows more skin.
Nightbourne are closest to the evil Drow race.
Void Elves really should have just been High Elves.
Evil addicted High Elves were Metzens worst mistake - even worse than Hippy Thrall
I’m still not satisfied with them. I very strongly disagree with you, actually. Nothing out of their choices I would consider “amazing.” I have one hairstyle I like for each gender and I think all their faces are ugly. I wish their tattoos stood out more. The best thing they got in the cosmetics dept. was the glowy hands imo.
I did the Nightborne quests and remember seeing how the elves were different, like what their background stories were. You rally with the different types just outside Suramar.
Void Elves on the other hand, “So we went to space and got void magick.” The end.
The lore is different in the sense that Nightborne got all of it with an entire expansion dedicated to them, while Void Elves are literally devoid of any lore, made up on the bathroom break of some wow developer.
And Nightborne were taken away from Night Elves. Highborne had rejoined Night Elf society, it’s the lore. But devs hate them so they pulled the plug, went backwards and handled them to the Horde.
I love both tbh. I think the only thing I feel sad about is that the Nightborne don’t really have a proper city (in the sense of being able to hang out there), and the Void Elves are just hanging out on a pile of rock. Like do they even have toilets?
Damn, well that is a bummer. I found the eye option improved all their face options immensely.
Oh man, I am still stunned they actually did that! It seemed like such a far fetched request from the players. I just remembered, I’m also still holding out a grain of hope that one day we also get the option for glowing “mana hair”.
the actual problem why you see so few nightborn is the quest chain is buggy as hell to follow. supposedly it was taken off the rep grind… but certain quests never got told that as they dont open until certain reps are reached still.
No; I told that since any of the Horde races are not evil, even I prefer something more, that is not truly busy!
Nightborne are not Nelf equivalent. Velfs are a copy of the most popular race, Nightborne are a different, unpopular design. They have awkward stances, awkward animations, look completely different, and have far less customization. Until recently they barely had anything (having the least amount out of any other race).
At least in Zandalari Troll case have popular players as Allied Races of the Horde, the Nightborne actually an offshoot of the Night Elf; that lived in Suramar on the Broken Isles, so this was not unpopular in early times.
