I think the colour being discussed is number 2, which would be teal black. Number 1 could be seen as a blue black, even though itâs a bit light. I supposed number 5 could be blue black too, but itâs pretty saturated. Itâs right on the border, but registers more as a dark blue to me.

My hair is number 8 but we need to get a pink color like Fen has linked or like you have linked, Iâll take either one as long as itâs pink and then Iâll trade in my burgundy color.

I definitely see VEs as having several qualifying black color options under the Void visual.
Thatâs not to say a natural hair toned jet black doesnât fit the void thematically itâs just not commenting on that part of the conversation at all. I think people see the pointing to of black color options as their argument going up in flames but it doesnât need to be that way if people arenât coming from a place of trying to present the argument as not having a black option.

This one? Itâs a mockup I made as a âvoid whiteâ, based on the hair Alleria has in her void form. I took the pink that shows up in it (though I think hers is due to the glow of her void form) and made it the primary undertone.
This was not easy to pull off in GIMP. Had to mess with a lot of colour settings, and colour the bottom separately from the top so it didnât turn out too dark.

Thatâs because Void Elves do, they have the more emo colors that you can get and find at Hot Topic from the Manic Panic NYC or Arctic Fox hair color lines, I mean they donât have all those shades obviously because that would be a lot of shades but the colors still fall under the umbrella of emo hair colors.

Iâm posting a reply right after posting on my main but yes that one, I love the pink hair color shades whether they be like a baby pink, cotton candy pink, pink, hot pink, etc. I want them for all races.

For future reference and to save a lot of headaches I took a color code of all the VE hair swatches.
#1. 59, 117, 151 - Light Grey-Blue
#2. 67, 116, 123 - Teal
#3. 124, 147, 161 - Grey
#4. 121, 141, 166 - Gray?
#5. 49. 94, 195 - Blue
#6. 89, 45, 180 - Purple
#7. 137, 90, 170 - Lavender
#8. 144, 48, 119 - Violet
And just for the Heck, Void Black is 21, 21, 23 and Charcoal is 53, 69, 80 (Depending on brand).
That is just bad terminology then. He could have dropped in and just started saying black and it would have meant the same thing but be less weird and sounding like he had an angle.
Well Iâm pretty sure when people ask for a black hair color, they are referring to the base color and not one dependent on style or lighting. Because itâs not really a black hair color at all if it requires highly specific conditions.
Also I personally would not refer any of the current hair colors black but call them the colors listed above with dark highlights.

This is why I said itâs a pointless argument.
Regardless of how one sees the currently available colours, if someone asks for âblack hair on void elvesâ, they obviously arenât referring to colours void elves already have available.

Iâd have to check in game, but iirc theyâre shaded differently. One of them has pretty low contrast. Itâs kinda weird looking.

It doesnât stop us from requesting the NPC black for sure and it certainly wont stop anyone asking for natural colors either.
I only wish I could do what you and Lance and others do.

My void elves currently are both rocking the purple.
Though I change hair colors and looks on my alts AGGRESSIVELY.
My old mains have a solid look, but everyone else is subject to whimsy. Which is part of the reason Iâm always going to cheer for more options.

And also who is this behold now I have two blood elves as well these threads have doubled my short elf count
Iâm still not a huge tiny elf fan because I play on Wyrmrest Accord and want to be a special snowflake. Which you cannot be as a blood or void elf on Wyrmrest Accord because there are elves jammed into every cupboard and also probably inside the sugar bowl.
