The Blood Magic seems like the natural consequence of Blood Mages dabbling with whatever they can get their hands on. That being said, I thought the crazy ones got turned into Void Elves.
I think the Blood Elf race is on a Light forged rail at this point.
I also think Dark Rangers might be a good hero class thats coupled with Shadow Hunters and you just try and make it match to something Alliance side…
The way the story is being written right now it seems the alliance get some villains. Turalyon seems like he is being set up to start an inquisition. Yrel could come back to Azeroth to chase the Maghars. Genn could be pissed at Anduin for being friends with Slyvannas. The scarlet crusade wants to put someone else as king (genn) or Turalyon. Right now Anduin is basically a death knight we don’t know if we save him will he stay undead? It seems the alliance will be set up as an instigator. A lot of alliance probably would be mad at Slyvannas when we come back, them being confused at why Tyrande has changed. Blizzard talked about alliance conflicts those will come when we get back from the shadowlands.

The only CG Alliance got was like… a couple of seconds of Anduin. Everything else was in game CG’s. Meanwhile the Horde went on a cinematic adventure.
And Genn looked like he was going to be a villain then BAM his stupid move was justified in full after the fact. I mean it goes back to Cata at least when Varian declared war on the Horde, but then they had to stick a peace treaty in the book between expansions to turn it into the Horde breaking the peace and starting the war.
Time after time after time we see Alliance bad actions swept under the carpet and any little Horde move turned into a major crime against the world. I mean hell, they made the purge victims into bad guys in the rescue Baine scenario. I’m gonna have to see some proof that they can actually follow through on treating the Alliance even slightly grey before I’ll believe it.
All they have to do is treat the alliance like the horde. Get ready for a leader to be killed off in a book (rip baine), and for your leaders to make a civil war, and be killed off by some random demon trash mobs (rip vol’jin).
I feel like this is some rose colored glasses. Alliance just got Arthas’d again.

Anyways, since this is a customisation thread, here is more that I would like to see for Void Elves to get us a step closer to our High Elves:

Sylvanas is cool. 
Arthas was full on hubris and personal faults leading to a fall into evil. So far the Anduin stuff is still tragic hero forced into submission by evil to do its bidding. We’ll have to see where they go from here, but it doesn’t look like Arthas other than the armor.
She was… but the way they wrote her in shadowlands… that’s a hard maybe at best. Idk I love her, love her old story but they turned her into like a stockholm syndrome case. Which is tragic, but I loved her as an antihero. I do hope they write her as an antihero going down. But many people want her to be a tragic hero. I hope they improve her character tbh. Arthas was a tragic hero/villain. I hope they just give her back to the horde as an antihero.

But Sylvanas is kind of a Warcraft staple. She’d be hard to actually get rid of. Just as many people would be sad as would be happy.

I don’t trust after what they did with Snape. I know this without even reading the books.

The statements made by the Lead Narrative Designer (Danuser) and Game Director (Hozzikostas) ought to hold more than enough weight on their own, but since I see that isn’t the case for you… I’d suggest that you simply create a Void Elf and just waltz around Telogrus Rift, you’ll find all the implicative elements you need.
I’m of the same opinion.
It would be infinitely wiser for Blizzard to double-down on the VE’s having an aesthetic that is predominantly cool colors, and the BE’s having an aesthetic that is predominantly warm colors… introducing yellows/oranges/reds just muddies the water more than it already is, for something that an extremely small minority of people are going to gain enjoyment from.
I’d prefer black, dark gray, and if you need a colorful option… dark brown.
We need them in the actual lore.
Danuser effectively dodged the question. We have no more information from him than we did when we used our own damned eyes.
I want Blizzard to update the Telogrus Rift… well with a lot of things, but one of the main things is I want them to show the Void Elves using a new setup to make more Void Elves.
Basically a combination of a refined Alleria’s path and bits of the ritual that made Umbric’s group into the first Void Elves.
Have the end result where the Wayfarers and Scholars undergoing the ritual come out of it with randomized customizations from the pool of player options.
Everything would be clear on how we’re made and whats going on with those Wayfarers and Scholars. No more questions and easy for any new player to see and get into the race a bit more.
That was my thinking as well. But, we’ve moved on from that not.
