Can’t you? I’ve never done it but I once had a poster admit to me that they used their Alts to flag my post. It was hidden for like, 20 hours or something.
You’re able to, but I’m pretty sure it’s against the ToS. If it isn’t, it should be.
Sorry I meant it’s against the coc.
You can do it. You just risk being silenced or banned.
- Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
Looks like some Antis are stalking me, I appear to have fans.
I have it from a mod themselves that flagging people on more than one character is an actionable offense.
The helfers got a Horde model. The helfers got pink skin. The helfers got blue eyes.
But it still isn’t enough.
no belf types of hair, add more tenticle void type of hair that is very smexy
Err… more than 5 minutes dear. As some Helfers have noticed in these types of threads (Nicodemus if my memory is right) the textures for the Velf haircuts are NOT the same as the textures for the Belf haircuts. Which means is not as simple as copy/pasting; just like with the underwear (that sorry but DID take time and resources from customizations for the core races to invest on an allied race btw) devs would have to RECREATE FROM SCRATCH the textures of the Belf haircuts.
Tl;dr: time wasted in cloning another race is time NOT invested in creating more ORIGINAL customizations.
Isn´t this a supremely stupid move? I mean if the “goal” is to show Blizzard devs how much people desires this, they can absolutely check werther is just one or a handful of people liking wityh their alts… destroying the goal in the process.
To be honest I agree with the OP, will I play a Void Elf, No…
But coming from a RPG standpoint, I agree with customisations, let the player create a Void Elf how they prefer.
Big whoop if they look similar to Blood Elves, Pandarens have ZERO distinct features to tell them apart, I’ve never had issues in PVP or PVE on which is which.
I don’t know, I always prefer more customisations choices, if people wanna be a Void Elf running around looking more like Alleria, or whatever they choose, who am I to say no?.
Yeah, I’ve seen the same thing from two different mods in the last month or so.
The punishment is supposed to be heavy.
I don’t play the blue team…
That is correct. Void Elf hair textures have notable differences from Blood Elf hair textures. In fact Void Elf hair textures are closer to Kul Tiran hair texture files. Here’s a comparison:
The shading on the Kul Tiran hair is darker, and shading on the Void Elf hair is darker than that. Void Elves and Kul Tirans notably share an accessory part of the hair texture. What’s most important however, is that the hair tentacles get their texturing and glow from the sections of the texture file after the braid, whereas the Blood Elf and Kul Tiran hair textures have different hair accessory textures in that spot.
This means that if you tried to use a Blood Elf hair texture on a Void Elf hair style, the hair would look perfectly fine, but any hairstyle with tentacles would likely have the tentacles looking incredibly bugged. Doing the reverse and trying to use a Void Elf hair texture on a Blood Elf hairstyle that refers to those areas of the texture file, would likely result in that Blood Elf hair style having bugged looking hair accessories.
The thing to note with textures in WoW, is that they do not have their colors assigned dynamically, instead they have their colors baked in. This means that for every hair color, there is a separate texture file. For Void Elves to get new hair colors… ANY new hair colors, voidy or not… it would require either a new texture file to be made from scratch, or a new texture file to be made from an existing file and having the Void Elf specific items added. Like so:
And while this may not require an extensive amount of time or resources, it does require some amount of time and resources to do. It must be kept in mind that we aren’t talking about a one and done edit here. It has to be done for every hair color and then tested to be sure it works properly. It may not be a ton of work, but it’s time spent not working on another race’s customization. And while I am one of those asking for some new hair colors for Void Elves, I also recognize that other races need to get some love before the devs revisit Void Elves for additional options.
What Void Elves received at SL launch was a gift, and should be appreciated as such. That doesn’t mean new options for Void Elves can’t be asked for, but it should come with the caveat that such requests should not be addressed until after all the core races are at an acceptable level of customization (some aren’t), and the allied races who didn’t receive such love yet have gotten their due. At least that’s how I feel.
All this support, I love love love it <3
I am truly pleased that we’ve all come together with the shared desire for blood elf hair for void elves. It’s only a matter of time before we all can finally have it.
You’re just baiting and encouraging the constant generalizations these people make about void elf fans.
This thread really wasn’t necessary and stop requesting to copy things from blood elves.
That isn’t what I’m doing at all, friend.
I’m happy to welcome you into our community though, and I thank you for your support.
All of us want this, and will peacefully continue our requests until it happens which should be very soon.
why are you liking your own posts though
I mean if that’s the case there’s no argument for any faction exclusives whatsoever.
After the advent of Pandaren, no, there are no objective arguments left really, only personal preferences and feelings.
I want High Elf customizations for Void Elves, Void Elf customizations for Blood Elves, Human customizations for Undead, Shendralar customizations for Night Elves, Night Elf customizations for Nightborne.
Whether these races look nearly identical or not - I don’t mind. If factions need visual distinction among races then factions are not correctly implemented in the game imo.
As long as blizz keep reinforcing that factions aren’t being dissolved anytime soon, there very much is an argument to keep distinction between factions.
Everyone is so quick to ignore the reason why Pandaren look identical, it’s because they were designed that way since there addition.
I see adding faction exclusive customisation to Pandaren as a perfectly reasonable request aswell.
please NOOOO!!!
