this was the first round of customizations and allied races arent the first to be focused on although VE did get the high elf skin tone.

It’s always been its foundation. You came into this game knowing of this foundation, but suddenly, after at least over 10 years (hello, fellow wotlk baby), you don’t like that foundation you always knew well it’s there.

A game that remains stagnant will fail, and the longer it takes them to adapt to the changing environment, the worse the fallout will be.

In fact by continuing to push for this over core races being brought up to speed, and most importantly other AR’s to me thats just advocating for even more disparity, in favor of HE requests.

I haven’t seen anyone arguing for Void Elves first. Blizzard decided to start addressing the High Elf issue and both Void Elves and Blood Elves were addressed regarding this particular issue at the same time, namely with the skin tones.

People aren’t going to scale back requests for one race because players aren’t happy with another, nor should they. For example Night Elves probably got the most new options next to Humans so they’re pretty well off but people still have unfulfilled wishlists for them, but as opposed to admonishing them I encourage them to continue with their requests as I will continue with mine. Blizzard will ultimately decide who needs what and when, so I’m not going to observe any more arbitrary timelines which are subjective to each player.

Okay, but not everyone has engaged in said behavior so that’s no reason to try to disadvantage not one but two groups, the other being players interested in Void customizations.

Fair skin and hair is hardly a unique thing on the Alliance as 4 other races have it. The Horde also got violet Elves. Fair tones for Void Elves are merely the last step in a series of events that has been in motion since BFA launched.

nothing was done in return, until when nothing was done in return people still wanted more Blood Elf customization, until after everything people will really sit there and be like “Blood Elves are so lucky for their jewelry they got so much” talking out of the side of their mouths the same mouths they usually bad mouth Blood Elves with anyways and completely failing to do their research as to why its unpopular and also the fact its locked to only one gender.

And Blood Elves definitely need more, I will personally be supporting more options for baseline Blood Elves(in tandem with Void Elves), Undead color assets and San’layn skins/AR as despite antis unfortunately being so closely tied with Blood Elf options, I can recognize that the heads of both the San’layn and Dark Ranger causes are good people and have never gave me reason to lump these groups together and try to deny them of anything because someone else was ignorant with me. Nor do I feel threatened as a Blood Elf player because other races happened to get more and continue to ask for more, this is every players prerogative so I’m not going to pressure them to do anything otherwise, it’s just not in my nature.

(Commentary): No one is saying other races cannot make requests. For some reason, it’s only an issue with Void Elves ask for more. Blood Elves got more new stuff than Void Elves did, and yet I see nothing but Blood Elf players griping about how little they got and how much more they deserve. I think all races deserve more, and I think all players have a right to ask for any new customizations they can think of. I’ll leave it to the Devs to decide who gets worked on first.

Pretty much this, I don’t agree with the fact Void Elves are being singled out.

(Commentary): The big issue here, and this is my opinion so feel free to disregard it, is that Blood Elf fans spent so much time arguing against High Elves that there was such little feedback about new options they’d like for Blood Elves that Blizzard seems to have literally looked at all the requests for High Elves, and implemented them for Blood Elves. I mean, is it no wonder Blood Elf fans aren’t happy? They never asked for the stuff they got! They spent too much time saying what they didn’t want another race to get, and not enough time on what they wanted!

I can attest to this. I’ve been suggesting tattoos and whatnot for years for Blood Elves, though unfortunately blue eyes was front and center for Blood Elf requests, many doing so out of spite, so I guess that’s what we got?

More incentive to focus on our goals as Blood Elf players and less on what other people got.

Agreed, and they may also want to give them something different, fingers crossed. Opposing this however could very well lead to another copy/paste from Blood Elves, which is something I don’t necessarily want, so it would be best to encourage to work on different assets. This isn’t really a situation where you can have your cake and eat it too as far as keeping Blood Elves unique.

Well I like you both for different reasons.

And I have respect for you as well and thus far in my very long response have I meant anything personally, it’s just we seem to be diverging on our stances, so I find us agreeing less these days.

I will say though I don’t appreciate the fact that you consider someone being directly rude with me cute yet saw fit to cross examine me in another thread for liking a post addressing one of your more wayward anti friends which got out of hand, also at my expense.

My stance is more in line with things you have said, I don’t agree with the continued pushing in front of core races, like we’re all just supposed to close our eyes and pretend VE’s didn’t get a better deal and we’re supposed to just sit quiet as the attempt to push for more dev time.

I don’t believe that ARs need to come before the lightly touched on core races, but I don’t agree with pushing Void Elves to the back of the line either.

For me I think the HE community has the tools it needs to do what they claim they wanted, without further stealing from BE themes and identity.

I disagree that they have all the tools they need to fully emulate wayfarers/High Elves, though I do agree that they shouldn’t be copied and pasted from Blood Elves, or any single race for that matter.

I know that this post is very long and is mostly regarding you and is my no means meant to be contrary or out of ill will towards you personally, it’s just you’re the only person left I feel I can have a halfway civil conversation on our conflicting viewpoints.

All AR have very limited options, but boy LFD and VE had the least range -the later at least have more contrast with the new skin tones-

As a side note, I’ll express my support for balancing the scales since it’s simply wrong to have a single AR to cut in line before every other.

As such, I believe it’s fair to give Nightborne some Night Elven skins, of course, including the options the Night elves got in the last batch of customizations.

Right? maybe add a it of a pink-ish undertone like Alleria’s voidform, but I just used the Kul tiran white hair without any edits. Black is a must that we already see on NPC’s, and overall ombre hair colors look very well on Void Elves.

To be honest, part of me hopes AR get merged into their core races, which would make both NE and BE shared by both factions. And I do think a time jump could help on that, but I guess I kinda like the option that some Nightborne leave to join the Night Elves, and also the other way around.

I like that the NB’s went Horde, but I do think the cut is too clean when I feel some NB would maybe want to rejoin their kin, while some NE’s would want to go back to a more Highborne lifestyle. One of the things I don’t buy of WoW a whole lot is how simplistic racial and politic divisions are.

And way back when before ARs were a thing, while I argued for Alliance High Elves I also vouched for some sort of Night Elf variant for the Horde, so I’d personally be elated to see Nightborne receive some Night Elf assets.

Some Void Elf assets for Blood Elves in return for skins would also be welcome imo.

To create more of a difference between Void/Highs & Bloods i think there should be more animation tweaks. Maybe give Voids/Highs a different idle stance or some other tweaks. It could be a small change but it would offer some more variation between the 2. Similar to the Nightborne but not as awkward/stiff looking.
