Void Elf Customization Thread (Ascension of the Ren'dorei) (Part 1)

Yeah honestly that robe option feels like the completed set we should have gotten originally. Like our actual Heritage is missing something.

I wonder if Rama is going to try an armored version eventually? I’d like to see that.

Thank you!! TBH I really wanted the robe to match the rest of the set and look seamless, it alone manages to create a new silhouette that really fits that caster vibe. It really just expands the existing aesthetic and I think that works really well!

Also rose gold recolor my beloved <3

I kinda want to make an armored version, but I wonder if I should try to be as matchy to the heritage, or diverge a bit more. Or to consider if VE would go for “fully armored” looks on the first place:

Like, it feels like LFD are more armored aesthetically as a race, in contrast to Nightborne which are more light. So even on the plate/cloth dynamic those races have their own spectrum; an “cloth” LFD look feels a lot more armored/protective than a NB one.

So that got me thinking VE would feel closer to NB in those terms, thus a “plate” or “armored” look would feel overall lighter; but in what terms? So yeah, I’m pondering how much armor, how much coverage or how much bulk a VE plate set should look, and have some ideas!

It is really beautiful !
It looks like a mix of Xal’s armor and the Sorceress armor from Warcraft 3.

Ahahha indeed! The robe design itself it’s a bit older, based on one of my fave VE fanarts and also inspired with chinese traditional clothing. As I styled it for the VE female model, it was easy to see the sorceress silhouette, ans also added the tiara and barefeet as a nod to Xal. It all just fits so well together!

I agree. I don’t think it would be a heavy armor type deal. I think something akin to the level of armor we see on Alleria would be that range.

Some armor but still holding to the general void elf heritage concept.

I wouldn’t even change the pants, just a up armored chest option really that probably still shows skin.

Also I was thinking something like Spellblade Aluriel could be a good inspiration; there’s more leather/cloth coverage overall, with the heavy armor layering on top of it. Maybe not go for the full robe look (actually something like a short tunic like Alleria’s could look great!)

Alright! So I think this is my current VE palette spread. While the jewelry palettes are 6, I think for Heritages 3-4 is enough, so let’s go with 4.

Those are amazing! They would be perfect for an expansion of the heritage tints and adding a robe option. (Also those shoulders. >.>)

I really hope Blizzard considers something like this.

I wish void elves had a racial void attack.
I know we kind of do with the blue glow, but i want to actually attack with the void.

Personally, I’ve been hoping Blizzard would add some sort of option or glyph that changes spell/skill effects so the icons and visuals are recolored to the blue-black typically seen in NPC void spells.

Much better than the Heritage Armor we got now.

I mean it does give us a nice damage boost.

That said Lightforged have an awesome Racial attack that… everyone apparently hates? So I don’t foresee Blizz adding more :frowning:

So I tried making a new mog. I hope in Midnight we get some voidy ranger looking mogs. I think I’ll still stick with the Eagletalon mog for now.

Would be nice to be able to have tattoos though, I could just show them off on her arms and face.

Gara and a void touched marsuul.

Yes, except only void elves have them as a starter pet.

Anyone can tame them too in Argus. But I do hope we get more voidy pets in Midnight.

I thought it was just a void elf pet, but good to know.

I hope we get more void pets too and change the void elf starter pet into a void dragon hawk to fit our theme better, the void warp stalker seems off.
