Void elf claim to Quel thalas

I’m not disagreeing with you about the traitorous actions they’ve taken. I’m simply saying that they are not followers of Dar’khan. That traitorous magister was a servant of the Lich King, and a member of the Scourge. The Ren’Dorei are neither of those.

Wrong, Void Elves have no claim to Quel’Thalas. They’ve already given up on the sunwell. It is only through the mercy of the Blood Elves and constant complaining about alliance needing more elves that they’re allowed to exist at all.

If you’re trying to infer that “various points in time” equals extreme torture and utter draining of a Naaru’s light then you’d be correct. However unless Lor’themar suddenly goes dumb mode then the sunwell is absolutely fine.

Naaru turn void… but does extracted Naaru energy turn void? I know Naaru “pieces” can be flipped void to light and back with an appropriate infusion of catalyst magic. I’m genuinely hesitant to believe the Sunwell could possibly “flip” on its own, rather than an attack by Void-wielding forces… which is way more likely since this is WoW.

All Elven need be purged bahahahaha

Between the Blood elves and the Nighborne your pathetic little group of exiles would be obliterated.

“It’s okay, he’s our boss, not our boss’s boss!”

They probably would’ve treated us a tiny bit more neutrally if Alleria didn’t go and touch the Sunwell like a dummy. But she did and basically reaffirmed the reason we were banned, putting it fresh in everyone’s minds, and got herself shut out with us, lol.

i think they shouldn’t have been exiled in the first place, and it kinda hurt blood elf lore.

they should have just been kept at arm’s length, down in ghostlands.

Void Elves have no claim to Quel’thalas.

Even if we ignore the threat Void Elves pose to the Sunwell, the Void Elves were exiled Blood Elves (and now possibly Alliance High Elves if Alleria and the Wayfarers in Telogrus are any indication) that have joined the Alliance and now stand against their former homeland, which is firmly aligned with the Horde at this time.

Those who were exiles gave up any claim to Quel’thalas when they went against the ruling body of Silvermoon, and especially when they joined the Alliance. Those who were Alliance High Elves (assuming that the Wayfarers indicate Alliance High Elves have joined the ranks of the Ren’dorei) gave up any claim to Quel’thalas years ago when they chose to remain with the Alliance instead of returning home.

Would you say then, that all NASA rocket scientists are facists, because they all studied the propulsion theories of WWII era German scientist Wernher von Braun when they were in college?

I mean, if you want to role-play your void elf as a dedicated follower of Dar’khan’s teachings, that’s an interesting hook, and I applaud your intrepidity…but that doesn’t mean the entire race does that.

You’re kind of being culturally insensitive you know, gooooosh. I’m not saying that void elves actually “look up to” Dar’Khan, but in context… the blood elves that became void elves picked up the study of
A) Magic used for destruction and corruption to the service of an exclusively malicious (to mortals) higher power that also attracts all-destroying/corrupting voidbeasts
B) Magic used to enable the destruction of their own homeland
C) Originally researched by the guy responsible for the destruction of their homeland.

Disavowing the guy is a thin ruse, they still easily qualify as traitors.

studying his research doesn’t make them traitors. it’s smart to pursue dangerous weapons, even those wielded by the enemy, even your most hated enemy. just look back the US with operation paperclip.

blood elves still tolerate fel magic, too. while the void is very much a threat to the sun well, it’d kinda have to be within range of it to attack it. fel’s latent corruptive effect could make the warlock den change any elves living near it to have green eyes, even if they don’t practice themselves.

what makes them traitors is allying with humans again. even being kicked out of quel’thalas, no self-respecting thalassian elf should ever trust a human again.

Someone should tell that to the Windrunner sisters. All three of them.

Void elf have no claim on our city. If they want to live here again, they must be part if the blood elf, which mean leaving the alliance and it could only be away from the sunwell.

So, you’re saying… elves should be more impacted by a human traitor than an elf traitor? What? All I’m trying to argue is that Dar’Khan’s name is extremely “radioactive” to Thalassian elves.

And I’m not sure if you’re aware, but pretty much nobody like WMDs on their front doorstep except, like… Forsaken, probably.

this escalated lol

no, i’m saying that study of his research could potentially be useful. outlawing something because a bad person came up with it is like outlawing half of the stuff you use in your daily life.

it hasn’t just been one human to betray them, either. they’ve betrayed quel’thalas repeatedly. not even looking to the actions of garithos, the modern alliance sent spies instead of aide to them in their darkest days, and then in the midst of peace talks, jaina starts murdering innocents in the streets of dalaran.

so no, thalassian elves should never, ever trust a human again.

Nobody, they already tried XD. I killed like half their guards and the entirety of their elite lodge of rangers before they figured out “Hey just leave the Void Elf (Vorkai) alone, he’ll leave when he’s done site seeing!”…
