I’m gonna say it, I think these elf’s need to be demon hunters. If the allied races can become death knights and make sense then why can’t void elf and nightbourne do the same with demon hunters? I know people would race change or choose void elf dh and nightbourne are like night elf models that already have dh models. If you agree or don’t please ask.
how about no scott.
Why? I believe it could be awesome.
They were locked away behind a bubble while everything was going on so.
How many times do we have to tell you people that if a void infused being (void elf) tries to infuse themselves with fel it would cause them to literally explode?
It has been explained already in the game…
Where in game?
It doesn’t matter. If Blizzard wants to add Void Elf DH then they will. If they don’t, they won’t. The lore surrounding it is whatever Blizzard wants it to be, and it can be retconned or expanded upon whenever they want to justify whatever decision they want to make.
gnomes first.
Little dots dashing everywhere
it would be dank
YES
Give me escape artist PLEASE
During demon hunter quests.
There’s even a raid boss in hellfire citadel with a mechanic that explains merging void and fel causes explosions. Also take into account that Demon Hunters already have issues resisting voices from their inner demons and even the slightest inconvenience to their concentration andcontrol over that could drive them insane and destroy themselves. Now put that on top of someone with the void constantly whispering to them. They would instantly be driven insane and pretty much result in the user destroying themselves.
It’s just not possible. A void elf can be a warlock because they’re simply just channeling the power of fel. Demon Hunters have it infused into their beings. Much like how a normal elf could use void magic to some extent without the whispers, but Void elves have it infused into the beings. Also account that most demon Hunters in training don’t even survive because all that needs to be done in their training to maintain stability and control. The Illidan novel explains it in more detail including how the inner demon similarly functions like the void in causing paranoia among other things.
You’re just looking at a catastrophe.
screw that, panda DH or no peace! nightborn is such a lifeless race ( i mean the models) they are nothing like what we were adventuring next to in suramar. they are like a paralyzed starved night elf with to points of motion, screw lore give us gnome/goblins even over nightborn
lol at anyone who thinks lore has any bearing on game decisions. As soon as Blizz wants to do something, they’ll make up whatever reason they want.
Blood Elves are a Horde race now after all, and with them came the Paladin class. So they started down the path of making it up as they go very early on.
If blizz wants panda DH’s then we’ll have panda DH’s and blizz will just say that they like green tea too much.
Someone is upset that horde got elves and paladins. Lol
lmao tru, I’ll be salty about it forever
I have only been horde. I wanted to try paladins but could not bring myself to play alliance. So was happy horde got them. I love the paladin theme but hate how they are now in the game with combo points holding back key abilities for tanking, dps and healing. If they did not have combo points i would be playing a paladin and dh having fun on both
Dude, allied races weren’t even known (some literally didn’t even exist) when Arthas was running around raising DKs. They added in a new thing where Fordragon, despite literally doing nothing for the last decade and his whole shtick being to do nothing and keep the Scourge under control, just randomly started raising new DKs.
If they can shoe-horn in such a thing like that to permit allied races for DKs, they can definitely add in a new source of DHs, wherein the Illidari trains new ones during the Legion time frame. There were boatloads of DHs training in various areas of the Fel Hammer, so it’s not even a retcon, unlike the Fordragon bit.
Tell that to all those void elf warlocks. Demon Armor is literally an infusion of fel into the warlock’s skin to protect them.
I mean, let’s look at the previous retcons and shoehorns they’ve made:
- Blood Elves could become paladins not by being adherents of the light, but by locking up a Naaru, and somehow that still gave them the same potency (and type) of power, across every paladin in the BE race, that proper adherents to the light had. Chain up a magic crystal and use it to divine intervention your friends. Makes sense.
- Tauren suddenly learned they could be paladins and priests, after they just randomly started worshipping the sun instead of the Earth Mother.
- Night Elves, whose entire society is literally based on an opposition to and hatred of the arcane magics practices by the High Elves they exiled, suddenly decided they were super cool with being mages.
- Dwarves learned to be mages and warlocks, ostensibly due to the clans unifying, yet dark iron dwarves were added as a separate race later.
- Trolls just suddenly found a loa that was cool with druidism, and boom, druids.
- Orcs gained mages for basically no reason at all.
Blizzard is very very good at hammering and shoe-horning in changes they want to make, and there’s a trivial way of adding additional races to DH using the Fel Hammer start instead (can even use the original DH starting experience as part of that, it gets done as a “flashback” retelling to the new recruits by an elder veteran DH that was there for it).
Edit: Oh, and despite blood knight power literally coming from a locked up and enslaved Naaru, A’dal was totally peachy with BE paladins running around Shattrath. Then, when they finally drained that Naaru of his power, Kael’thas stole him and turned him into a void god. Yet somehow the BE paladins still kept their power, and then the Sunwell, re-awakened after M’uru’s defeat, magically started granting light-based power, despite it being purely a source of arcane power previously.
Oh, and then all those BE paladins that previously used the Light through force just magically became actual adherents of the light, despite that basically being against every fiber of the Blood Elf societal concept.
Hey just because we didn’t know about them doesn’t mean they didn’t exist and couldn’t have been DKs under arthas
Gnome DH named Peppy cause it would literally look like a big version of that lil bird…lol
No, like, some literally didn’t exist. Void Elves hadn’t even come into being by then, and yet they can be DKs. Besides, since we have DKs that were under Arthas, then we would have been aware of those races before they were properly introduces. And yet we were not.
Anyway, that same logic can be applied to who Illidan trained. The whole “we just didn’t know about it” shtick is literally retcon 101.
They stated in an interview that eventually they want all races to be all classes. It’s just going to be a matter of time. Lore wise as of yet, anything light can not mix with void/shadow (the prime Naaru locking away Alleria for seeking out the void; yet we have in game Void elf priests). Anything Death based can not mix with Void/shadow. We literally see this in canon comics, where the whisper’s in Alleria’s head lose their s**t over Sylvanas. Fel energy/magic was created when light and shadow collided. It can almost be thought of as a chaotic blend of light (fire) and death (shadow) which is why all demons are bent on destruction and corruption. It’s in their nature.
TL;DR. Lore doesn’t matter, just time and subs. All good things to those who wait
(I want them too)
