Visit a Sanctuary to Phase with your Group? WTF?

Title. Horrible change. I hope it gets reverted. Blizzard could at least come forward and explain why they implemented this. :woman_facepalming:

And it’s official…

Blizz knows what windows taste like when licked.

Yeah I had to check the forums, my wife and I logged out together in the same spot and when we logged in we were in different phases?

Agreed. As for why, my conspiracy theory is that it’s going to take longer for people to join groups and do world quests together, so everyone’s going to spend all the more time in the game and have to subscribe for longer.

But hey, maybe that’s just a cynical corporate profit view.

This is exactly what happened to my husband and me. We had to hearth back to Oribos to be able to see each other again.

I don’t understand really what this does for the player.

My wife and I are in the same guild, we were doing the Bastion story together and took break right as we got to Maldraxxus.

A few minutes ago we both logged in at the same time, with the same quest in our queue to start and were told we were in different phases.

How does this new change make the game better? It’s going to be a pain in the butt every time we log in.

This is seriously an awful change… like if they wann akeep peopel from cooperating for rare spawns or doing WQ’s please CONSIDER that some of us have significant others we are trying to play with.

Me and my wife having to hearth back to Oribos after every time one of us logs out or if we have a IRL thing to handle and want to come back is annoying as all hel.

It makes the player stay subscribed a little bit longer. It makes everything take just a little bit longer. The same reason they removed flying.

I submitted a bug report about this. Party phasing problem - #42 by DominiquĂŞ-proudmoore
Blue acknowledged, but no update; probably because it may be intentional.

Someone on another thread said they suspect it has to do with wPvP exploits, like forming and reforming raids in different phases to try to take advantage of the wPvP events (i.e. Nazjatar). If that’s the case, it’s a pretty lousy way to fix that because it punishes people who actually want to quest with their family and friends easily.

Lol makes sense… Alliance find a way to dominate the horde in wpvp and papa blizzard steps in.

It makes the 5 man “Wanted” quests a pain as well.

I was astounded to discover this was an intentional feature. What possible reason could Blizz have for making grouping with others on the fly even harder?

Someone was crying about this the other day. Now we’ve all been screwed. Which is exactly what I said would happen if they attempted to address it. :rage:

I don’t know about you but I have a set amount of time to play this game, this doesn’t magically grant me more, I just get less done overall.

I put it on twitter if anyone wants to add to my post:

Exactly.

Make it take twice as long and you only need to have half as much.

Why make a years worth of content when they can just make 3 months worth take a year.

They want WoW to become single player, I am seriously dumb founded that this was intentional.
