It feels like the crest rewards from Horrific Visions Re-visited are either broken or some kind of stealth nerf was put in place prior to their launch. I want to lean towards the former just because of the bizarre behavior I’m witnessing.
So I’ve done an 8-mask clear and was awarded the full 11 Gilded crests (combined between what I’d already done up to that point with 5 masks, 8 crests, and the difference of 3 from the 8 masks) for first weekly completion. However, subsequent completions for the week are not matching up with the expectations I have based on Wowhead’s guide which was taken from PTR data.
I just completed a 7-mask “repeat” clear, and was given only 3 Gilded and 5 Carved crests, instead of the expected 5 Gilded and 5 Runed crests. The reason I feel this may be bugged is because there is zero sensible logic at all which would explain why I am being awarded crests two tiers apart (Gilded and Carved). Usually in multi-type crest situations, the awarded variants are always adjacent to each other in tier, so I feel this needs looked at.
I’m not bothering with a repeat 8-mask clear right now but I wouldn’t expect the values to match up properly there either.
