While I was in the current week’s vision of N’zoth, the titan archives research option, Emergency Cranial Defibrillation failed to return me to life after I died in the trade district bonus objective area. I received as loot a single [sparks of unwavering strength] and a [torn page of “fear and flesh”] and 410 corrupted mementos which I would gladly all trade for another shot at the vision since I had only used a single cast of the Sanity Restoration Orb.
I’ve seen other people saying this research bonus has also not been functioning for them, are people able to get refunds of their vials of horrific visions?

Did not activate for me either, I got zero loot because I died in the first extra area I went to before fully completing it (yay for handful of mobs evade bugging and being unkillable). I had all 3 orbs left and now I’m behind an entire week on my cloak due to getting feared through a wall and instant-killing me last week. The amount of bugs in 8.3 and tying your main progression to content that is time-gated and full of run-ending bugs is beyond frustrating.
I wasted so much time doing all the dailies and getting enough coalescing visions to make up for the bug last week and was all for nothing.

This just happened to me as well. It’s a complete waste of time, I am expecting these abilities to work that I purchase with the in game currency and put a lot of time into, just to get screwed over. They want to make it a big race and put these restrictions on there, well make sure everything works because a lot of people put a lot of time into this, just for stuff to bug out and everything to be a complete waste of time.

Did this happen to you all while fighting The Inquisitor? The same happened to me, and I feel like maybe his Convert ability, which makes you immune to healing maybe bugs out ECD and doesn’t allow it to heal you to full health.
You could be on to something there, Dineerin. The same thing happened to me and I was fighting the Inquisitor when it happened.

This is indisputable fact. I just paid for this research and was counting on this working as I was trying to save my orbs for later. I got to zero sanity, and instead of reviving as expected, I was kicked from the instance. Blizzard dysfunction and incompetence at its finest and they cheat me out of my Vessel - absolutely criminal.
Why am I not surprised?
