Vision question?

Why are the bosses in the corrupted areas harder then the bosses in the lost areas?
the bosses in the corrupted ares get shields that cant be interupted , launch you into the air and throw you back 50 feet… None of those mechanics are in the lost areas. Isn’t the corrupted area supposed to be easier ?

The Corrupted areas in themselves are much easier with one or two obstacles as you mentioned.

The Lost areas have bosses which are harder and the overall area is also harder.

Example:

Stormwind:

Dwarf District event: Mostly a straightforward thing by disabling the bombs and killing the boss.

Trade District: Not straightforward and requires the handling of the chained and silence mechanics. But after those two bosses are defeated, you have complete control of the area. This does seem or feel like a lost area if you fall to the two bosses but generally isn’t hard.

The bosses in the Lost Areas tend not to hit as hard and don’t lose you as much Sanity when you fail their mechanics.

I’d rather they hit harder , cause their mechanics are obnoxious as all hell

They actually do hit harder. It depends on the class.

Some classes have easier escapes out of their mechanics likes Mages with Iceblock but have a harder time staying with more than 50% health because they hit hard.

You have the advantage of not getting hit hard but are eventually made to face the weakness of your class where you can’t avoid the mechanic.

It’s like a fair trade but looks like poop

they dont hit hard , but instead they shoot you back 50 feet into a wall of corruption and then stun you their and on a 5 mask that hurts more then a boss hitting you for a ton

Idk man, they were all pretty easy. Except for rexxar. His boars all charged me at once and it hurt.

the boss’s shield in drag side can be interrupted. you just need to dps through it.

also if youre on the other side, can use an immunity spell to block hopelessness.

the bouncing is annoying though. that said, can just stop moving and you wont bounce. turn, move, bounce where you want to.

for rexxar, just hit him slowly, the boars spawn 1, 1, then 2 at once. can interrupt their casts that lower sanity. when he stops spawning them, just avoid the things on the ground moving.

or if you are over 470 ilvl, ignore boars entirely and nuke rexxar.

You’re melee. Take all your annoyances at obnoxious mechanics and multiply them by 10 to understand how it is for casters.

Basically what I did.

I dunno, I find visions pretty trivial for my shadow priest alt. The only annoyance is Rexxar since shadows interrupt has a cooldown that is forever and a day. But even that’s not horrible.

Even my destruction warlock isn’t too bad. I struggle the most on my monk tbh but I’m really bad at using karma.

what i really dont know is how ppl complete 5 mask vision… that sh*t is so annoing with tons of debuffs and penalizes for nothing…

Im almost giving up this achiev

Watch a guide, alot of little tricks you can do to make them alot easier.

Haha I mean yeah it’s that one boss you are referring to because all the others are inconsequential. But yeah, I can’t remember his name but if you don’t burst him to his shell phase before he does the garbage 360% knock up stun he’s annoying.

Or worse yet, having him cast that spell then transition during the time when you are avoiding his spell and so you can’t dps their shield. Fun times.

Take it slow.
Honestly you have a lot more time than you realise, if you pace yourself and don’t make silly mistakes from panicking and rushing you will be able to complete them quite reasonably.

Also simply having the archive tree done is a huge help.

You can just stand on top of him, and the void missles that knock you up will spawn outside of his character model and miss you entirely.

You could also just dodge them, but movement is a DPS loss ya know.

What? You’re telling me that dumb dwarf with the grenades and the faceless with the chain are harder than Shaw and Umbric? Are we playing the same game?

Same in Orgrimmar, dumb caster dude where you can hide behind a tree stump and the boss with the waves that move at 1 mph VS Rexxar and the big dude with the orbs and the billion adds that’s harder than Thrall and Alleria combined.

True! I didn’t know that but I predominantly run them on my Warlock so I’ve never really considered running into melee.
Is the area forgiving for standing on him, or is it more like the tentacles that need you to be pixel perfect on top of them?

Yeah I typically just avoid them although it’s a painful amount of time to do so. I remember being solely disappointed when I tried to use demo circle to juke back on them only to find that he immediately changes direction instead of continuing around. I’l have to give standing on him a try :+1:

perfectly centered. slightly off center, youll get hit. it’s a bit more annoying with scorched feet. just be sure to clear the bounce before you run into him, easy to messup but also easy to recover. if you mess it up, should be able to divine steed out of them. or i’d imagine bubble just cancels it out—the dk shell/hunter turtle (edit: or maybe it was feign death, been a bit) does.
