I played in HS quit for 10 years and came back. Its mainly because of nostalgia. Not sure if any other game would do it for me.

I got Oculus Rift S and I explore games here and there. Different genres. Here is my 2 cents.

While VR is quite nice, it is also highly limited in capacity. Not only it requires quite solid hardware, the actions themselves are quite limited. Given how many mechanics, mobility and abilities WoW have, it is simply not feasible on a 2x3 button controllers.

So, me personally, I would much rather have an option to explore WoW from VR. Watch cutscenes from first person. Explore dungeons and sight seeing. Perhaps a few mini-games, but nothing along the lines of M18 content

Besides all of that, very few people have VR, as they are quite pricey. Mine was like $550 w/ tax. New steam VR set is ~$700 IIRC.

Goldshire in pls no

Virtual Reality PVP and Mythic Dungeon International tournaments would be fun to watch. People jumping around and stuff and seeing the big screen on whats going on in the game.

No ā€œenhancedā€ draenai?

You saw what the wii didā€¦ now imagine your vision is obstructed

In a generation or two when the movement tracking is a bit more refined it may work out pretty well.

Iā€™d imagine that they would bind different abilities to specific move-sets with good movement tracking. Exageratted over-head swing for Crusader Strikeā€¦ Or your Arms moving in a great circle and then thrusting forward to cast fireball etc. etc.

Of courseā€¦ Iā€™d love to watch the youtube videos of people destroying TVā€™s and monitors while jumping and slamming their arms down screaming ā€œCOLOSSUS SMASH!ā€

I would love to live long enough to see ā€œReady Player Oneā€ type of VR

I donā€™t think it will ever be ā€˜plug and play VRā€™ but you can already play WoW in VR and get an incredibly good experience.

Iā€™ve played at my friend Nicos house and WoW is absolutely stunning in VR. If you can invest the time in getting your setup right you will love it.

If it helps any; used vorpx with occulus rift (headset itself doesnā€™t matter), immersive mode, if you have 2060rtx- use directx11, 3060+ directx12.

Oh lord, I kid you not this is a thing in some VR places. Thankfully I donā€™t think fully body control will ever be a thing in WoW.

I play a lot of VR chat and I definitely need a few drops of holy water in my eye balls.

I remember someone said that in GD back in 2016.

Anyway, almost a certainty that Blizzard wouldnā€™t be among the first to introduce VR to an mmo. Not in their DNA. Theyā€™ll wait and see for another company to do a moderately successful VR mmo then base a VR WoW on that.

Competitive VR would put a whole new angle on things, entrants with coach potato physiques wouldnā€™t get very far regardless of gear!

Can this be a thing yet? It should be. That, and WoW on Mobile (cross-platform). How is this not a thing yet? You can run WoW on a potato, why canā€™t we play on the go?

Is the goal to drive player count down, or up? I donā€™t get it.

Didnā€™t realize they released the Necromancer classā€¦ You just raised a year long dead post lol
