Vindication Spec disabled?

I was so excited to play my Vindication Evoker. The Black DF theme, actively mitigating damage with Empowered Abilities. The videos ive seen of Evoker Tanks channeling an empowered Neltharions Fury as a boss casts its big hitter, shield its face with its wings, only to release an explosive Fire nova at max empowerment. So cool. So so cool.

And than i remembered those videos were all from a vivid power nap dream.

But if the class is themed around the Emerald Dream, and i dreamed of an Evoker tank…perhaps it DOES exist?!

DREAM FRIENDS. DREAM IT INTO EXISTENCE.

Yeah, I feel like a tank spec that utilizes Black and Bronze Dragonflight Abilities to preserve itself and control aggro would be interesting, alongside a small spattering of Green and Red for self-healing and damage respectively. Could focus a lot on damage reflecting with an Empowered Black ability and debuffing and taunting enemies with Bronze abilities.

i’ve been manifesting for tank spec since release. the potential is there and it is so strong. a black/bronze tank spec fits the fantasy perfectly. black aspect ground stomp/aoe. bronze aspect leeching mitigation shield. dragon roar taunt?! hello??!!

the one time i wanted a tank, they totally drop the ball.

it’s okay though because awhile back we instead got… checks notes… drunk beer tank :’)

They honestly kind of screwed up with this expac in this regard.

They could have done something unique for each class outside of their class and spec trees.

For instance, mages could have an Arcane Tome that gives them some cool features, like choosing additional portal locations, buffs that can be applied to food/water, modifications to their buffs.

Dracthyr could have a Flight of the Dragons tree that allows them to favor Black, Blue, Green, Red, or Bronze powers, altering their abilities in favor of those schools, empowering abilities of those schools to allow for more specialized setups.

Ex. a Bronze Evoker could have their Armor buff up all the time, with 100% effectiveness, and a chance when hit to restore the last 1-3 seconds of damage taken.

A Green Evoker could have extra charges on healing powers, or extra range on heals, or allow heals to buff targets with a nature shield and hot etc…

Sure this could all just be put in to the talent tree, but having something different allows for more than just a talent selection.

Black dragonflight spells are definitely lacking. Pretty sure they are a root and defensive cooldowns, no? What’s funny is that we have a talent to boost their damage if I’m not mistaken.
