With the increased contact from blizz in the pvp community, it would be awesome for us to be able to use our vicious saddles to buy older glad mounts. I know I’m not the only person who has multiple stacks of vicious saddles once you’ve purchased all the vendor vicious mounts. I think players wouldn’t care even if the mounts had some off-color re-skin. It seems odd to just earn a token at a high volume without anything to do with it. Those glad stormdrakes are so cool but I got into pvp after legion so I’ll never have the opportunity for a reward like that. Adding some sort of incentive like x10 vicious saddles gets you an older glad mount could be something simple that could boost numbers in the community, and keep people queing just at the chance for fun rewards.
If they were to make legacy gladiator mounts obtainable I imagine it’d require a sort of Greater Vicious Saddle that’d be obtainable from high MMR play, like winning 100 matches above 2400 or something.
I would be happy if they just let me trade them in for an absurd amount of honor. Blizz needs update that system anyway, atleast on the reward side.
I’m trying to think of ways that would increase the player population in pvp. I remember my first goal was simply to get enough wins for a vicious saddle. Crazy to think people want obtainable rewards. Incentives are definitely one of the main arguments being made to get people to log in and play. Legacy gladiator mounts or even an arena time walking section added into the dungeon rotation and having the mount a reward for playing so many arena games during the window would be cool. People who pvp don’t just pvp for the rewards but that only speaks to a portion of the community. I like to think about players who can’t get mythic mounts during an active raid season, because they still have the opportunity later down the road to outgear a raid and get those rewards. Players in pvp don’t have the chance to go back for the higher end rewards.
Honestly, I would be fine with being able to trade normal saddles in for gold/honor/conquest.
then above 2k, you can combine like 50 saddles for a elite mog from an old xpac.
above 2400, you can combine 100 saddles for a old glad mount.
(I used to care about the elite sets being seasonal and stuff, but the fact that mythic raid sets are basically the same thing and obtainable is the mirror reflection)
I also wanna see a way to obtain old CM gear and weapons (MoP and WoD) and just obtain older stuff in general, even if it means grinding for it.
I could see them using the recolors.
just gimme the lock, sham ones and the ability to pick the CM weps form WoD… upset I didnt get those when I should have.
