can you use vicious bloodstones from season 1 for season 2 or are any ones earned in season one worthless when season 2 starts?
This is a great question! I won’t the information we seek is our there yet but this is exactly the question where a blue post would go a long way.
They want to use the same system but I’m not sure if it will be the same item.
I should think it would be an imbalance of power if they were allowed to function within the second season…
I seem to recall the subreddit having confirmation that there would be a new one from ptr.
What I haven’t seen answered:
Will profession recipes for season one pvp gear be updated/replaced? Will we need to grind new recipes?
I asked this in another thread and was reassured that the pvp recipes won’t have to be farmed again, but the heraldry reagents (green and purple tokens) to make them do.

I’m going to assume based on DF patches that crafted gear will be updated to be relevant in S2. The mats required will likely be updated as well.
I imagine gems will be upgraded so Jewelcrafting remains relevant as well, although I don’t think the original gems will lose their potency. You may just lose some main/secondary stats with S1 gems.

In dragonflight we had new patterns for each season.
For Vicious Bloodstone, It would be strange to keep them if on the PVE side you can’t save socket items from Vault.
I would guess we will get a new bloodstone…

I will be bummed if have to grind pvp recipes again, but will do it if i have to. I only buy them with honor or contained in chests, they are expesnive in AH. Guess will wait and see.

If they make the current Vicious Bloodstones obsolete in S2 that’ll rub me the wrong way, considering that you can hold all your honor to instantly buy the new gear at the start of new seasons.
