Vial of Endless Draconic Scales is a massive downgrade to the Manuscript

The toy is a downgrade in almost every conceivable way. Has a duration for the buff. The buff falls off if you die (maybe other ways, too), so if you lose it, you can’t redo it until the toy comes back off cooldown. The only upside it has over the previous implementation is that it’s account wide. I would rather they had made the previous version account wide instead of adding a worse version as a toy.

Blizzard, please consider changing this back to a toggle option in the Toy Box like it was in the spellbook, or put it into the Dragonriding Skills and Unlocks so that you can get rid of the stupid 1hr cooldown and disappearance of the ability on death.

Why wouldn’t they just make the original item a toy that gives you the manuscript if you activate it, like those flight path maps you can activate once per character.

I like customizing my drakes per character so I was never going to use it but there’s so many other ways they could have done this that would’ve been less stupid.

So this new toy was meant to replace the manuscript that we already bought, right? That’s what wowhead was reporting before. Only guess what? They deleted my manuscript ability sure enough, but did NOT give me the toy in replacement. You seriously mean to tell me I gotta get another 40 tokens for an ability I already bought???

Blizzard, you already have two perfectly working models to choose from:

1. Make it work like the Safari Hat toy
2. Make it work like the Scouting Maps toy where using the toy will unlock the dragonriding ability (that the manuscript used to unlock) for that character you use the toy on.

Instead you made it work like one of the silly novelty toys with stupid long CDs.

And what’s up with the new 1h duration added? Totally unnecessary. I don’t want to micromanage enabling this buff every hour!

I bought this when it was the manuscript and used it. When they changed it into a toy, it is NOT in my inventory and it’s not in my mailbox and I did not get my currency back. I am not doing all the races again for the currency to buy this yet AGAIN. I hope this is a bug and it will get fixed.

ok is this a bug that they are going to fix or do I actually need to buy it again can anyone clarify? Not only did they delete the manuscript ability I already had, they didn’t give the new toy. what the hell?

My wife did not get the toy. She contacted support and they told her it looked like she hadn’t gotten the manuscript on any of her characters… So I guess the “upgrade” just outright removed the manuscript, didn’t reward the toy, and support is telling people they didn’t have it in the first place.

Just doing the race again is less of a hassle if you have an alt that hasn’t done it yet.

Not only that but I didn’t automatically get it after having purchased it on one of my alts, and wasn’t refunded the currency for the manuscript. I mean, oh well, but still annoying.
