Is there one with convoke? I hope so I hope it’s not really fair paladins get Divine Toll in the general paladin tree. While i have to be sad about not being able to convoke in Guardian.
Thats like asking blizz to fix the bear tanking tree and or just fixing the bears at all. we can wish, we can want and we get nothing. They might fix it by 2045 but I’m thinking the bears are dead atm.

Convoke is just kinda bad rn. All the benefits it had in sl just arent there for df.

Convoke is viable. Just not optimal.
It wasn’t great then either.
Only part I liked about it was the healing it provided. We have that in spades now.
Only reason I used it was because night fae was bis for feral/resto and I couldn’t be bothered to swap.
Incarn is better in every situation.
The argument you could make for convoke is that it’s a neat on demand ability that throws out an insane amount of damage or healing in exchange for the risk of dropping your bear form, sacrificing your ironfur stacks, rage, and the defensive buffs of your tanking form for that flurry of spells.
Now let me tell you why this doesn’t work. Lets completely ignore that Bear Form keeps you from dying, and that there’s an initial risk vs reward for using convoke. Instead lets look at numbers and the utility it offers.
Now if I were to shift to moonkin form and use this I’ll probably throw out a few moonfires, a few wraths, one or two starsurges, and MAYBE a full moon. If I use this in caster form I’m going to throw out a bunch of Hots. If I use this in cat form I’ll throw out some dots and a couple of feral bites.
So it DOES add some utility through damage… or at least it would except: that damage is vastly undertuned. Bear was performing abysmally and got a massive 50% buff to it’s damage output. This was applied to all bear abilities. and unfortunately all of the out of bear form abilities don’t have this aura, so when you shift out of form everything you do does 50% less as that aura is missing. Shifting to drop a convoke heal is not the massive AOE Lay on hands it once was, and it’s possibly a DPS loss to convoke in balance or feral. It’s not great. Can it pump out damage? Yeah when the stars align and your single target and RNGeesus gives you a big stream of feral bites it comes out ahead…
…but you don’t have to come out ahead of your guardian druid rotation, you have to come out ahead of a guardian druid using Incarnation… and that’s just not happening.
“But vincent, convoke can get me a bunch of ironfurs and a big heal in bear form, surely it’s a great defensive CD!” and yeah it is… but so is Incarnation which does that same thing but lasts for half a minute.
Even in world content when I’m just trying to burn through an elemental invasion boss solo and don’t care about survivability at all, I’m not taking convoke because it’s just not as good as the alternative. I really want to like this, but they made it unlikable.
Is it cool? Yeah it’s cool as hell! But it’s also really bad for a variety of reasons and these are all design issues.
Ye i know, basically it has just 0 use now.
Would rather have adaptive swarm in the tree somewhere. But then again dont have any free points because of horrid tree design.
Convoke goes well with Flashing Claws and Ursocs Fury build. Especially if you can get Ursoc’s Guidance talented in as well.
Is it Super Duper? Nah. But it’s still fun and about the only real way I see to play with it.
Incarn works with that setup 10x better.
Thrash spam isnt what actually gives a relevant shield with that, and for whatever reason convoke cant maul.
Soo its pretty useless in every situation.

Yeah the talent point for ursocs guidance basically just gives you a chance at getting a free pulverize. At that point you might as well just choose pulverize and have it available more often. Without the rng.
Generally yes, but if someone is wanting to make it work - that’s the route I’d go.
It’s more to have Convoke every minute more than anything honestly
Convoke the Spirits Regrowth procs dont even proc Protector of the Pack - very little synergy - while Incran is powerful.
It is fun running around as the blue Legion bear making blue lights swirle around!
the easy fix for convoke is if they bake in Niya Mastery into the ability. its basically the only reason Convoke was even good.
as is, convoke is just ok to meh. and that just doesnt cut it for the talent points its competing with for bear.
