After more testing on other alts, this seems to be a bug with the quest (ID is 85952) not resetting after a death. This became apparent when I died on my alt at 55% done and went back in and the same 55% was still there.

Same here - tried 3 times to get him to spawn - no dice.
Same for me. Every time I enter the Valley of Wisdom it automatically says 100% enemies defeated even before fighting 1 mob. But even after clearing 100%, the boss doesn’t spawn.
I was able to log onto my DH and complete it properly there, but I’ve done it multiple times with different masks, no mask, different routes and still nothing.
What seems to bug it is if you die from Vez’okk after you complete 100%. What you can try to spawn it, is this:
You need a party with a friend, after you go inside the instance: The bugged one should log out at the start, inside the instance. Go to the valley make your friend clean and spawn Vez’okk and then tell your friend to log in and both can kill him.

Now THIS is a solution! This worked perfect for me and seems to be 100% full proof so far.
Same here, I tough blizzard would fix it with today’s fixes but no, it’s still the same.
Please @Blizzard this is too much, we can’t go trying work around’s because of bugs like this ain’t getting fixed

Doesn’t work for me, every group I have joined he still doesn’t spawn. Grouping just seems like it would spread the bug.
+1 bugged for me too. So glad I found this out on 8 mask clear when I had already cleared 3/4 areas. Now doesnt spawn in any subsequent runs either.
Same here. Visions are over unless i want to try a phasing like work around. I’ll wait I believe.
Alright, so either they JUST fixed it or I did somehow. First thing I did was just straight up DIE to Sanity in that zone, not from mobs killing me. Just let it expire. I did take a -100 sanity a bit before. During the next run, I didn’t kill anything from the front, went straight to the room. All the trash from the start came with me. Pulled trash from that area with it and killed it all. Suddenly, I didn’t have the “BONUS” quest, just the kill % increasing. Boss spawned after.
So my thought to try:
- Let yourself die to sanity (try a -100 at the same time)
- Kill trash from another area, in that same space and see what happens.
or
They fixed it.
I think they fixed it, I just went straight there on a 0 mask run just to see and the quest progress is reset. I looked like 1 or 2 hours ago and it was stuck at 100%
That’s why the bugged one should log out inside before doing something else. If he stay while you go into the zone, the % will spread to the party.
Not fixed yet for me, been doing runs all day, tried different masks combinations, different routes, nothing works. Stuck at 100%

Still not spawning for me either. Clearing cache and dying from sanity loss in the zone didn’t work.

I have been running into this bug also trying to do my 8 mask run. I had success after entering the vision (in Org), logging out and entering game again. Hope this works for others.
it keeps happening and this fixes every time sorry for stating the obvious but you need to exit game a battlenet account then delete
Ok, this finally worked for me. I almost never log out of bnet, so I didn’t even think of it. After closing the game, logging out of battlenet, deleting the cache folder, and then restarting my computer for good measure (which I don’t think was actually necessary), I finally got him to spawn.

Ive tried everything clearing deleting caches restarts etc and cannot get this to work, placed 2 bug reports too please blizzard and fix this for us!
Im having the same issue. And it happened twice. I had this issue yesterday, then I did the cache folder delete, then I enter the visions with 0 masks went to Vez’okk and he spawned again, then I killed and completed the full run killing Thrall in the end. Then I went back with 8 masks to try and he was there. But today I was doing another try with 8 masks and he bugged again. I then went to the same process of deleting the cache folder runing 0 masks etc… But this time he did not spawn. Very sad. im trying to run the full mask and when I get to the Wisdom valey he does not spawn. I have tried everything there, killing all mobs etc… but nothing works now. @blizzard
