It seems Brave Stonehide(horde) no longer sells the season 2 pvp rings, have not checked alliance but possibly also the same.

They have been overridden by the S3 rings. S3 rings cost the same as S2 rings beforehand. Go ahead and shop til you drop.

they should still be available even in season 3 and at reduced cost.
Go with the S3 anyways, they’re even cheaper now after today.
i want to purchase both, season 3 rings are unique, with the season 2 ring unavailable it is not possible to have 2 resil healing rings.
this is a pretty big deal for anyone wanting to pvp but is fresh/starting now.

I see what you mean now. You’re right.
However, I’ve never known the previous season accessories to survive into the next season.
I’m 99.9% sure on this. 
It should still be purchasable - the idea is you should be able to wear 1 s3 and 1 s2 ring

all s2 off pieces are removed with s3 added
you’ll have to wait for sunwell for the vendor that sells older season gear

the rings were never removed nor should they be.
in season 2 you could purchase season 1 (blue) and season 2 ring, in season 3 you should be able to purchase the veteran’s and vindicator’s rings.

It’s because there wasn’t a season 1 ring. The ring was the blue one which is associated with the pre season 1 gear. All S2 off piece gear have been removed and unable to purchase them at this time.

It was well understood in my guild that if you wanted to purchase any of the S2 gear you had to get it before the S3 gear came out. That’s why I bought my discounted S2 ring early so I would be able to stack both rings.

all the other S2 pieces should correctly not be available, this is not true for the ring however.
this was reported as a bug on the PTR but has been overlooked, and wowhead comments clearly show that it was available during season 3 in original TBC, just as season 3 ring was available during season 4.
Whether it was that way before or not I’m not sure but they removed the S1 ring at the start of S2. I know because I had the same thing happen to me.
This actually isn’t correct. There is a resilience healing ring from SSC.
So with phase 4 you can get S1 and S2 boots and belts too?
