Going to start this by saying that I don’t think I’m better than anyone else who plays the game. This includes players who just recently started the adventure that is World of Warcraft. We are a community, and skill levels vary no matter who you are or when you started playing.
I was just wondering if Blizzard would ever consider recognizing players who have been playing since launch or players who have been playing before The Burning Crusade. I mean by maybe providing a title or status that displays when they started playing.
For years many players have stuck around to be part of a great community and I believe that a title or form recognition would be a good thing. I know many people will troll and say that this is crazy, but I would like to hear opinions.
Speaking as a player (and character) that has been around for a while, our main privilege is that we have things like my Argent Dawn tabard and Hordebreaker title that just can’t be gotten anymore.
FFXIV does something like this: you receive cosmetic rewards based on how many days your account has been active (and paid for). They implemented that pretty quick after the game re-launched as ARR though; it might be a bit late for WoW to consider much other than the title OP mentioned or something else not terribly valuable.
